We arrived too late because our flight was delayed. As we were concerned we sent a message warning but we didn't get a response.
The hotel was closed and we couldn't contact anyone.
We would have been grateful for a message to warn us.
The room is relatively small, next to the supermarkets of LIDL and WAITROSE, with free parking.
There are no toiletries, bottled water, kettles, etc., and even no hair dryers.
The front desk is still very enthusiastic and helpful. The town is very quiet, and the seaside is very British.
Please be careful of all extra charges when you arrive. No option to park near for free and charges for serving you drinks and food on top of extortionate prices. The gym was 3 cardio machines a rack of light weights and a bench.
Plus points for lovely friendly check in chap and nice note he wrote on key card plus comfortable beds!!!!
Lovely stay room clean, bed very comfortable. Great view
We ate at the Spa restaurant in the evening food was very nice and had breakfast in our room which was also well worth the cost. Reception staff very welcoming.

Could not fault the actual room, the pub itself and the staff. Room was squeaky clean, even with a cafetiere. Niggles 1) the ”Roberts” radio had a great tone etc, but needs instructions
on how to use it; otherwise as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike! 2) bedside alarm clock was not working... the battery was not properly installed. 3) restaurant opening hours were odd....closed until 8pm? Menu was not inspiring, a little confusing? All in all, a good place to stop-over....although clearly not aiming for the budget-conscious traveller....oh, and the beers were excellent, even with real ale....

GGuest UserConvenient location, just off M5 and 10 mins drive from Portishead. Arrived at 7pm and parking was challenging - no bays free outside hotel or in the overflow parking on the edge of the lorry parking. Because of the one way system ended going out and round the roundabout multiple times to try and park. Once I got to the hotel I was told you can park anywhere on site (£5 charge) which would have been very useful to know this in advance. Spacious room. Very odd double bed with two narrow and convex single mattresses under a sheet, very uncomfortable. Ironing board burnt/stained. Some stains on carpet. I didn't visit restaurant/bar area. Not terribly noisy given location. Overpriced at £90 + £5 parking
