Great hotel to stay in if you are traveling for work. Pool and jacuzzi is always a bonus. Great food in the Burgundy restaurant, but don't order Tiramusu (it's too creamy, no taste of coffee or alcohol - very bad)! Staff members are friendly, let us stay for an extra hour, which was nice.
The hotel is very very good. Location is great, rooms are nice and cozy, you get shower gels, hand soaps included. Parking is large and always space. For the price I will definetly be back. Don’t look at the other reviews that say this is a bad place. As soon as I walked in it’s an antique luxury feel. Corridors are slightly outdated but rooms got a big tv, comfy beds, new bathrooms. My tv remote didn’t work unfortunately. But customer service is great aswell. Definitely be coming back when I’m here
A word of caution. My issue was resolved favourably but my advice is to check the reservation and ask the questions.
The ibis Birmingham Airport has 2 levels of accommodation at the same location.
I booked and paid for the Ibis through Trip. On arrival I was told the Trip had made my reservation in Ibis Budget. The concierge told me me there was nothing he could do. I would have to take it up with the booking agent, Trip.
I accepted the room ( I have stayed here before in ibis Budget, I knew what to expect. Perfectly adequate for an early morning departure.)
My disappointment was that I had booked and paid for the higher end accommodation on this occasion.
Needless to say, I contacted customer support services and after sometime and various explanations and photographs, my issue was understood. I chose to accept the compensation offered.
We had a fantastic stay overnight. fabulous staff willing to help very caring and understanding very helpful all the time we was there. breakfast was amazing. I’m very wonderfully presented those everything you wanted and all nicely displayed and absolutely wonderfully clean and the staff was great so Wood come back thank you. Thank you for everything bye-bye.
The hotel is conveniently located (on the way from London to Birmingham) and we found the staff to
all be very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. And we had a really good breakfast too. My only slight criticism is that we didn't get our Doubletree warm cookie on arrival - but we check-in after midnight! We would definitely stay again.
The hotel’s parking lot became over crowded due to an event. Meaning we had to park in the airport’s car park and walk back.
Unfortunately the location of the hotel means that we were very close to the take off runway and we could hear planes all the time, the windows and walls were not soundproofed enough.
Lastly the pillows were rather uncomfortable as they were much too empty, felt like a ballon instead of an actual pillow.
Otherwise the room and the hotel were clean and the room service was actually surprisingly pleasant. The staff we encountered was friendly and helpful.
The food they served was really tasty as well.
Absolutely stunning hotel , in acres of land to walk around .
The staff were superb .
Rooms were clean and warm.
Breakfast was buffet style with plenty to choose from.
Will stay again , hopefully to meet the two ghosts that haunt the place .
Well located in the centre of Coventry, the room was reasonably spacious with ensuite facilities.
Reception staff were quick to deal with me upon arrival.
Make sure you take photo ID as this is required for check-in.
My only gripe was that the curtain in my room didn't cover the entire window, so light was streaming in from very early in the morning.
Dinner and breakfast are available at an extra cost, but I can't comment on the quality because I dined elsewhere.

Great location for Birmingham University and also for local attractions such as the Barber Institute, Wildlife Park and Midlands Arts Centre.
Airy bright hotel with a nice comfortable bar and seating areas. Check-in and out were quick and efficient. Free parking but do remember to input your car details.
Room was smartly decorated and very comfortable. Mattresses are good and the shower and water pressure are great. My only niggle is that the windows - at least in the room we were in - are narrow slits, meaning that the room is rather dark and gloomy in the mornings.
Breakfast was good - a substantial buffet in a high ceiling-ed, cheerful room. Good range of alternative milks available, and a bit of a treat to have smoked salmon :)
This was our second stay and we'll be happy to stay here again.
Arrived for check in and was told they had made an error and offered me 2 rooms instead of 1 family room. As I had 2 minors with me this was not acceptable. They gave us 2 rooms with adjoining door so we could still be together.

Great
BBumblebee06I stayed at the Leonardo Royal Hotel Birmingham for 3 nights and had a fantastic experience. The hotel is in a perfect location—central, convenient, and great for exploring the city. It has a luxurious feel throughout, with modern decor and a very clean environment.
The staff were lovely—always polite, helpful, and welcoming, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The room was well-equipped with great amenities including coffee pods, tea, and coffee, as well as both still and sparkling water provided daily (a bottle of each).
A big plus was the in-room entertainment setup—you can easily connect your phone to the TV via the hotel Wi-Fi to stream your favourite shows on apps like Netflix and Prime Video.
Overall, I was really impressed with the comfort, service, and attention to detail. I’d definitely recommend Leonardo Royal Hotel Birmingham for a stylish and relaxing city break.

LLing TszThe aircon system was totally sucks, it happened to numbers of rooms, even we changed the room it wasn’t help. The staff told me that the maintenance can only be conducted on weekdays (our stays in during weekends) !!!! We can’t breath while we were sleeping, no choice but to open the windows. Our room is facing to the Main Street with heavy traffic even siren sounds from police car. Luckily we just stay for 1 night. Once is enough !
GGuest User5th floor but no great view as it's so built up that side of hotel. Air conditioning loud and squeaky. However, room large for a twin, bathroom good size, great shower, clean linen and room, comfortable beds, good lighting and good breakfast options. Bargain!
JJeff & LynLovely overnight stay.
Hotel was really busy with a large party but the staff looked after us really well.
Not a reflection on the hotel but they booked a taxi to pick us up and the taxi firm were totally useless. Having waited twenty minutes past the scheduled time, we called an Uber which was there in five minutes.
Overall, this is a great hotel which we have stayed at previously and will do so again.
GGuest UserThe location is great. Right in front of the new street station.
The staff is great. The room is simple but clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a bathtub.
Unfortunately it was not really sound proof. I could hear door closing and some thumps from above.
I hope my talk or watching TV did not disturb other guests.

Very Good
TTomieMercure Birmingham west hotel is easy to locate, easy to check in, I and my husband loves the facilities, the pool, the gym, steam room and sauna, it was my first experience in the steaming room, the jacuzzi spa was amazing, the hotel is neat, I try to change my room but there were lot of guest, I was communicated to about it and it was clear, we love the services including the amazing breakfasts buffet 🥰🥰
LlauliVery clean and modern. I had a room without a window, which was fine. Bed was a little firm for my comfort, but lots of pillows, soft fluffy towels & nice bathroom products plus hairdryer & full length mirrors were provided. Bathroom was a wet room with a bit of an awkward shower if you don't want to wet your hair & bathroom gets totally wet. Located in the heart of the jewellery quarter.
DDotGreat location for theatres. Not far from New Street Station. Wonderful twin room with 2 double beds. Bathroom and room spotlessly clean. Fab room decor. Loved the mirrors. Not lotta noise in night. Slight traffic noise. Air con was fab. Cooled down in few minutes. Felt very safe as doorman checked room no. and surname.
Definitely recommend.
