A Hotel that is recovering from the bad snowy weather. Rooms are big but toilet is tiny. The toilet bidet is bigger than the actual toilet bowl. Also the taps in toilet need upgrading to mixer. Buffet Dinner is good. Sashimi is basic salmon mainly. Buffet should not be a fixed menu everyday! For visitors staying longer, this is uninteresting. When I visited from 7-10 April, the outdoor Onsen was MOST UNFORTUNATELY not working!
Towada Prince Hotel has an excellent environment and is worth a visit in a lifetime. Although the red leaves on the mountain have fallen after the beginning of winter, the maple leaves and ginkgo leaves in the hotel courtyard are still swaying in the wind, which is beautiful. In the open-air hot spring pool, you can enjoy the colorful autumn in the morning and count the stars in the sky at night. It is a priceless luxury. Perhaps it is unnecessary to remind you to follow the local customs, respect the culture of other countries, don't make loud noises, and say thank you after enjoying the service, which will win more respect. Of course, there are some cold and arrogant managers. At this time, ”speak softly” politely, and he will ”behave”.
One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in my life (35+ years' travel life). All was perfect and I will recommend confidently this hotel to those who I know and plan to trip to Akita. Personally I decided to stay the hotels in Japan JR East is running and available in the places I plan to travel. Otsukaresamadesita to all that are working there.
It takes about 10 minutes to walk from Akita Station to the hotel. There is a 7-11 and a restaurant on the first floor, so you don't have to worry about having nothing to eat even if you arrive in Akita very late. Check-in on the second floor is very fast. There is a relaxing indoor fragrance, and the supplies are very conveniently located next to the counter. There is also Nyuto Onsen bathing powder that can be used for bathing in the room. The third floor is a large public bath, which gives another access card. There is a large hot pool, a cold water bath, and a Panorama sauna. It's really awesome! There are two massage chairs outside that you can use after taking a bath. The room is a little small, but it has a double bed, table and chairs, and a bathtub in the bathroom. It is the newest hotel to open, and the price is lower in the off-season, so the CP value is off the charts. I strongly recommend staying here when you come to Akita!
Before leaving, I went for a walk in the nearby Senaki Park. The air was good, the sunshine was bright, and the prices were cheap. I recommend everyone to visit Akita!
The location is very convenient, right next to JR Akita Station, close to the city’s tourist attractions. It‘s great that the hotel has a gym, and the restaurant on the top floor also has local characteristics, good service, and delicious food. But for some reason, the door of my room could not be closed normally, which made me very confused.
It is very convenient to be close to the station, and then it is quite big. The point is super bright! It is white light, great! Because the usual accommodation encounters are yellow light and dark, unless it is dawn, the room is very dark and really troublesome.
There is free coffee in the lobby for self-access, and free breakfast is provided. It is really rich for free breakfast. The hot spring is on the first floor, and the coin-operated washing machine is inside. There is only one so the time to use is to catch it.
The counter staff is very kind. If you can't clean it, you can get the token to go to the vending machine once. The vending machine is also outside the hot spring.
Hotel location is good, although the public hot spring is small, but the room is clean and tidy, convenient to travel, the surrounding restaurants are also very delicious, especially the yak barbecue in front of Dachang Garden is great, but also cheap
Because we are going to Xiao'anxia Big Spray Tang , the location of the hotel is very in line with our needs.
The attitude of the service staff, meals and hot spring facilities are good, especially the open-air hot spring pool has a good atmosphere.
The most important thing is that there is also the homemade spicy flavor of the proprietress, super-right flavor
The hotel lobby sits and looks at the snow outside the window. It is beautiful, the dinner is rich, there are abalones, and cattle. If the service is less or less, it is very good. The hot spring is very good and the outdoor scenery is beautiful.

Great
GGuest UserA high-end hotel with first-class services and facilities. I especially like open-air baths. It is a great pleasure to enjoy the hot springs while admiring the red leaves in the mountains. A cost-effective hot spring hotel.
AAlly2023We stayed two nights. It was a great experience. Room itself is good, bed is comfortable. Got onsen and free half portion of ramen and rice after 7:30pm, which is a bonus. Ramen is delicious. However, service for a part-time staff (a girl) was bad! This is the first time we experienced such bad service in Japan. First, her greeting was mean and rude, with no smile on her face and kind of ignoring the customer. Second, after we got the room key and get ready to take the elevator, we didn't know the way. She just kept ignoring us which a normal staff would show you the way to the elevator right after finished check-in. Lastly, after we entered into the room, we found out that the toilet seat was loosen. So we went down to the lobby to tell her about these. She was so unhelpful that she did not even want to come up to our room to see what happen, but just tild us to use the toilet in the lobby instead!
At the end, luckily there was another senior full time staff just on duty, we told him about this, and he immediately went up to our room to see what happen. Will give this senior staff a 5 star.
So other than that part-time staff (girl), all were pretty good.
GGuest UserSimple accommodation, not cost-effective, the proprietress is not bad.
But it may be that I have a dog that is not very friendly, and the dog smells a little unbearable when I enter the door. I have no hot spring coupons anymore, but the store has built a simple shower room by itself, and I still have to go outside the house. It is very dark and inconvenient, and there is no place to put clothes.

EErin KennedyWe had a lovely, relaxing time at Hotel Kan Raku. The room was a nice size for two people; the baths were hot and refreshing; breakfast was delicious; and the staff went above and beyond to ensure all patrons had a great time in their establishment.
We would definitely stay there again if/when we come back to Akita!
GGuest UserThis place is extraordinarily overpriced for what it is. I expected much more amenities and service.
Although the staff were friendly and courteous, the place was fairly bland. The onsen was mediocre and there were no refreshments afterwards unless you wanted to go to a vending machine. Even Dormy Inn provides refreshments after the onsen but at Towado Hotel having to pay for them and not even the nice ones is ridiculous when you have to pay so much to stay here. The same for the relaxation chair. It is coin-operated not complementary.
I would not recommend staying here if you’re looking for a luxury experience because although you pay for that, it’s definitely nowhere near that. Our Western style room was very basic, and it just didn’t have those special finishing touches I had hoped for.

AAnonymous UserThe corner hall in autumn is beautiful, and I decided to come here temporarily to check in. Someone recommended this hotel on Xiaohongshu. The room was small, but it was enough. The biggest selling point of this Japanese-style hotel is actually catering. It is very beautiful and exquisite. The companion said that the hotel has no hot springs at the one-star level of Michelin, but it provides free tickets for another free hot spring nearby. It is a pity that you can't soak in the hot spring. The boss is an elderly uncle, friendly and cute, can speak simple English, communication is barrier-free.

YYoke FongThe location of this hotel is super good right at train station & parking is in the same building w reasonable price of $520 yen. The only thing we are really unhappy is about the front desk the lady there are not helpful & sound a bit rude to us. We requesting 2 extra pillow she insist us to go down drink desk to collect it, we said we are tired can they send up, but she just said NO, w a rude voice. For Japanese famous of good service & polite this is very rare to meet but we are unfortunate.
