We arrived
We arrived at Angkor Wat just before dawn, the world still cloaked in a soft hush. The sky slowly bloomed with color—hints of lavender, blush pink, and gold stretching over the horizon. Hand in hand, we walked through the ancient stone gates, the quiet crunch of gravel beneath our feet the only sound between us.
As the first rays of sunlight touched the temple’s iconic towers, they glowed like something out of a dream. We stood there, breathless, the moment suspended in a kind of sacred stillness. It felt like time had stopped—just for us.
Throughout the day, we wandered through the ruins like explorers in a forgotten fairytale. Vines curled around ancient carvings, and stone corridors led us into cool shadows, where we whispered secrets and stole kisses beneath apsaras etched in time. We climbed to the top of the central sanctuary and looked out over the jungle, the wind playing gently with our hair as if even the air was part of the magic.
As evening fell, the sky deepened into a warm twilight, and lanterns flickered to life around the nearby village. We ended the day on a quiet terrace with a view of the temple silhouette against the stars, our hands entwined, our hearts full.
Angkor Wat wasn’t just a place—it was a feeling, a shared breath between two souls wrapped in wonder. It was the kind of love story only ancient stones and starlit skies could understand.#angkorwat #sunset
