I spent part of June in a beautiful little summer house in Denia, and it was an absolute gem. 🌟 The sunsets were absolutely stunning – I’m talking about breathtaking views that made every evening feel magical. 🌅 The weather was super comfortable, perfect for just relaxing or taking in the tranquil atmosphere. Denia is a quiet and peaceful spot, with lovely surroundings that make it easy to unwind. 🏡 If you're looking for a peaceful retreat near Alicante, this area is an absolute must-visit. Whether it’s summer or any other time of the year, renting a house here is an experience you won't regret. Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Alicante (Region) A historic fortress with Moorish architecture dating back to the 10th/11th century. It only costs 3 euros to enter and takes a few hours to explore. Very well illustrated, the tourist panels explain all its features: vineyards, residential areas, cellars, towers etc and the history, although not in English, shows their age in itself. The fortifications are in good condition, but there is little space for permanent exhibitions. There is a cafeteria and toilets near the top of the mountain. The castle is situated on top of this 60m high hill and the views are stunning. You can look out across the port and marina to the open Mediterranean Sea or inland to Montego Mountain and the town of Denia. #JanuaryDestinations2025 #SpainTravel #Valencia

Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Alicante (Region) The archaeological museum of this Muslim castle preserves many examples of its heritage. The city also has notable monuments such as the Asunción Cathedral, built in the 18th century with Renaissance and Baroque frescoes, and the facade of the Town Hall, which still has two memorial tablets of the Shrine of Diana. The Marquês de Campo Avenue is an international venue for Moorish and Christian celebrations, complementing the fishermen's quarter, the most popular and social area of ​​town. Denia has a commercial port and a marina. Denia has a 20-kilometer coastline, with fine sand in the north and steep and rocky in the south. There are countless single-storey houses scattered throughout the city, with white facades, red-tiled roofs and the region's typical porches, called "riu-rau". We can access the Montego Nature Reserve from the road to Javea, which passes through Las Rotas and Cape San Antonio. Wonderful week culminating in a wedding in the mountains outside Denia

People always say that the south of Spain is full of white buildings and white towns, but of course, if you love to travel, there are also many colorful towns in the south, such as Denía. The buildings here are full of color, pink cafes, green restaurants, blue windows... mixed with the warm sunshine of November and the still colorful trees and flowers, making this town a favorite of Germans, British and French. Most of Europe in the north is very cold in November and December, but it is still 'very hot' here, and the streets are full of tourists. In addition to visiting the castle of Denia, spending half a day leisurely strolling in the streets is also a great joy. You will be attracted by the unseen colorful buildings and moved by the still blooming flowers and grass. This is probably the surprise of a unknown city in travel.

We passed a week in this heavenly piece of earth. we were super lucky: the weather was perfect and the sea was crystal clear. September is the perfect time to visit.
