Bang Khaen Noi Temple

Wat Bang Kaen Noi, Samut Songkhram Province There is a carved wooden chapel. The entire floor of the chapel uses only 7 golden teak planks. Each plank is 40-44 inches wide, 2 inches thick, and 15 meters long, arranged in rows until full. The pedestal used to support the principal Buddha image is made of very large Makha Mong wood. The base used to enshrine the principal Buddha image is carved in the shape of a chom ha. The interior walls of the chapel are made of carved teak wood, depicting stories from the life of the Buddha, his birth, enlightenment, nirvana, and the Ten Lives of the Buddha.
