A beautiful city break in Amsterdam

Amsterdam. The Capital of The Netherlands. And very much, a worthy city break destination. This city, filled with canals and dominated by bicycles, is easy on the eye, with attractive streets and waterways aplenty. The buildings have their own charm and it’s a pleasant experience admiring them. Amsterdam also has a lot of culture on display. Home to many museums, two in particular that stand out are the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh museum. The Van Gogh museum in particular is such a brilliantly curated gallery, it really brings the artwork to life in a way that I didn’t think possible. I felt like I was able to get a glimpse into the mind of the tortured artist and I came away with a greater appreciation of his masterful works. So don’t cast Amsterdam to one side.
