Hidden Gem in Bangkok's City Center - Nai Lert Park

If you're like me and enjoy quiet places, Nai Lert Park in the heart of Bangkok is definitely worth a visit. Entry is free! Unlike other popular attractions, this place isn't crowded or overly lively, offering a serene and relaxing atmosphere. Many locals come here to enjoy afternoon tea. I finally fulfilled my long-time wish to visit this beautiful estate, which houses several coffee shops. The scenery within the park is truly stunning, featuring expansive lawns, historic buildings, ponds, fountains, and century-old trees. It feels like stepping into a private garden of Thailand's upper class. Most of the coffee shops here have outdoor seating, equipped with fans, and mosquitoes are not much of a bother. The entire garden is impeccably maintained, providing a tranquil environment where you can spend an afternoon enjoying the chirping of birds among the trees—a rare treat. The best part is that this oasis is located right in the city center, making it incredibly convenient to access. As for the coffee, while not particularly outstanding, it is decent. I ordered an iced cappuccino, which cost around 220 THB (approximately 50 HKD). The price is relatively high, but it's worth it for the unique experience of the park. Next time, I plan to explore more of the coffee shops here, including one by the lawn, another by the lake, and a glasshouse café that looks intriguing. How to get there? I took a motorbike taxi from Lumpini, which is about 3 kilometers away and cost 37 THB (around 8 HKD). Upon arrival, security personnel guided me through a small path leading to BTS Chit Lom station. It's just two streets away from the Erawan Shrine, making this location incredibly convenient and my top choice for relaxation. I will definitely visit again. Address: Nai Lert Park, Ploenchit Rd, Lumpini, Pathum Wan, Bangkok 10330
