Visited Vaso, a Spanish tapas bar in Bangkok, and was seriously impressed. If I’m not wrong, it’s also Michelin Guide-listed, and it absolutely lived up to expectations. We opted for counter seating right in front of the open kitchen, which turned out to be a highlight of the night. Watching the chefs in action added an immersive, theatrical element to the dining experience — a true feast for the senses. Every dish we tried was expertly prepared and packed with flavor. A personal favorite was the toast topped with sliced truffle — the aroma, the richness, and the way the truffle melted in the mouth was unforgettable. It’s definitely not a cheap place, but the ingredients, craftsmanship, and atmosphere make it worth the splurge. The staff were friendly and attentive, and we even got to chat with the executive chef, who had just arrived from Spain — a really nice personal touch.
