I'm back from Beihai‼ This 3-day 2-night trip to Beihai was a great deal for a small budget~ I scouted the spots for everyone and listed both must-visit and commonly recommended attractions~ You can still check this out before you go. - 🚗 Transportation: Didi or electric scooters. If you can ride an electric scooter, I suggest renting one 🛵 20 RMB/day... super convenient to get anywhere!! - 🏡 Accommodation: 🏨 Hotels 🏨 Beihai Hotels | Beihai Silver Beach Moyuan Resort Hotel This guesthouse has a rooftop with a 270° unobstructed sea view, plus a courtyard pool perfect for photos, and the room design is simple yet upscale. - • Weizhou Island Hotels | Weizhou Island Kafka Custom Hotel The hotel is located on Weizhou Island with a sea view of Dishui Danping, a design-focused guesthouse I've been wanting to visit for a long time. The environment is beautiful, facilities are complete, and rooms are very clean. Besides free shuttle service from the pier, they offer afternoon tea and goodnight desserts daily. If you don’t want to go out for dinner, the housekeeper can help order and purchase seafood, which is processed and served at your reserved dining time. Prices are clearly marked and charged by plate! - 💰 Affordable per capita pure food guide with no misses, all hidden gems found by wandering the streets and alleys, feel free to add more~ - Beihai Travel Tips ⚠ Sunrise at Silver Beach is stunning, recommended to arrive around 6 AM. Avoid noon, the sun is too harsh. Bring a small shovel and bucket to dig for little crabs and shells during low tide. ⚠ Weizhou Island ferry tickets must be booked 3-7 days in advance on the official WeChat account. If you get seasick, prepare seasickness medicine in advance. ⚠ Beihai Old Street is best visited after 5 PM when it’s less sunny. There are many street snacks like shrimp cakes and cuttlefish balls, very authentic, don’t miss them. ⚠ Qiaogang Style Street is super lively at night with various sweet soups and stir-fried ice.
