It was visible as soon as I opened the window, making me want to go in and take a look at this largest church in Budapest. St. Stephen's Basilica is a neoclassical church with a typical Greek cross shape and symmetrical bell towers. The interior is magnificent. It was built to commemorate King Stephen I and to celebrate the millennium of the founding of Hungary. It took 54 years to complete and is the largest church in Budapest. The interior of the church is elegant and gorgeous, with red marble columns and gold-painted murals, stained glass windows with St. Stephen's crown on the windows, a large wooden organ, and the treasure of the church, the "Holy Right Hand of the King", all of which are must-see selling points of St. Stephen's Basilica. After visiting the interior of the church, you can take the elevator to the top floor and enjoy a 360-degree view of Budapest city and the Danube River. The view is amazing! However, you need to pay to visit the top of the tower.
