Land of the Pharoahs

2 weeks adventure in Eqypt. We covered quite extensively, Cairo-Giza-Luxor-Aswan-Abu Simbel-Hurgada-St Catherine-Dahab. It was always on my bucket list and finally it has been fulfilled. I was so amazed by what human can do without modern tools, 5000 years ago. Really amazing and takes my breath away. As long as there is a will, there is a way. The climb up Mt. Sinai was also very rewarding, with a beautiful sunrise from the top. #eqypt #pyramid #sinai #giza

The Egyptian Museum in Cairo

A visit to Egypt is incomplete without seeing the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. From the moment you step into the historic building in Tahrir Square, you are immersed in thousands of years of history. While the museum is somewhat old and perhaps not as modern as the newly opened Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), the atmosphere and the sheer density of history inside make you forget all about that. Every corner is filled with statues, sarcophagi, and papyri that transport you to a different dynasty and the life of a different pharaoh. The most impressive section is undoubtedly the upper floor, where Tutankhamun's treasures are displayed. Seeing the famous golden death mask in person is an entirely different experience than seeing it in photographs. The craftsmanship and richness are incredible. Patience is required while navigating the crowded and sometimes overwhelming corridors, but every artifact is absolutely worth it. It's truly a paradise for history enthusiasts.
