Day Trip to Chiang Rai

🚇 Transportation: hire a car/small van for half a day 📷 Photo Spots: drive around the riverside that passes through ancient sites. head over to the Golden Triangle, walk around the sidewalk for views of the Mekong, Laos and Myanmar. Stop in between by any of the riverside restaurants for freshly cooked Thai dishes. Next head over to the top of Wat Phra That Pha Ngao, and enjoy scenic views from the glass observatory (Mekong Skywalk). Head over to town and spend an hour at the White temple, followed by the Blue temple (15-20minutes). 🍜 Local Cuisine: try fresh fishes, soup and veggies by the Mekong river 💡 Tips: Depending on your location (if staying in Chiang Rai) it might take an hour to 1.5 hours to reach the border area, would recommend to spend about 4 hours sightseeing and then enjoying lunch and light snacks. However if traveling from Chiang Mai, it will take around 4-4.5 hours, so start early morning.
