Exploring Medieval Walls: A Visit to Gravensteen Castle in Ghent, Belgium

Recently, my family and I visited the famous Gravensteen Castle in Ghent, Belgium. This medieval fortress stands majestically in the city center and is one of Ghent's most iconic historical landmarks. We climbed the stone steps, passed through the thick castle walls, and entered a world filled with the atmosphere of the knightly era. Along the way, we explored exhibitions of armor, weapons, and even the torture chamber, which felt solemn and mysterious. From the castle's rooftop, we enjoyed breathtaking views of the city and the flowing Lys River, leaving a lasting impression.
