Want to feel like you’re in a scene of Game of Thrones? Girona!

I made sure to spend some time in the beautiful city of Girona, and as a Game of Thrones fan, it was such a cool experience. The old town of Girona was used as a filming location for several scenes in the series, especially those set in Braavos and King's Landing. Walking through the narrow medieval streets and climbing the stone staircases felt like stepping right into the show. I even found the exact steps where Arya Stark begged while blind. It was surreal seeing it in real life. Aside from Girona, I also got the chance to unwind in Lloret de Mar and Tossa de Mar, two charming coastal towns along the Costa Brava. Lloret had a livelier, more energetic vibe with beaches, nightlife, and buzzing streets. Tossa felt quieter and more laid back, perfect for relaxing walks along the seaside or exploring the old fortress. Both places offered stunning views and their own unique character. One thing I absolutely loved throughout the trip was the local food. There were loads of great spots serving up delicious seafood and paella, and I made sure to try as many variations as I could. The flavors were fresh and rich. I honestly couldn’t get enough. I also had a surprisingly good steak one evening, cooked to perfection. Whether in the busy center of Girona or by the sea in Tossa, the food never disappointed. What really stood out to me, though, was how friendly and welcoming the people were. Whether I was asking for directions, ordering food, or just chatting with locals, everyone was warm and helpful. It made the trip even more enjoyable and left me with some great memories of the region.#travel #beachlife
