Guiyang Welcomes the Season of Legends

I've truly been amazed by Guiyang this time! Known as a summer resort, it lives up to its reputation, and there’s just so much delicious food to try😋 A 3-day itinerary that's chill and not too rushed, here’s my foodie and leisure travel guide～ 🗺️3-Day Itinerary: Day 1: 📍Qianling Park: A natural oxygen bar in the city where you can also see adorable monkeys🐒 Best to visit in the morning when it’s cooler, and the ticket is only 5 yuan—super affordable! (No. 187 Zaoshan Road, Yunyan District, Guiyang) 📍Qingyan Ancient Town: A well-preserved Ming and Qing dynasty town with stone-paved streets and ancient buildings perfect for photos. Highly recommend trying the town’s braised pig’s trotters and rice cake porridge (Jiaotong Road, Qingyan Town, Huaxi District, Guiyang) 📍Jiaxiu Pavilion: A landmark building of Guiyang with especially beautiful night views. A stroll along the Nanming River is very pleasant (No. 8 Cuiwei Lane, Nanming District, Guiyang) Day 2: 📍Huaxi Yelang Valley: An artistic stone castle where every photo looks like a masterpiece📷 (Dangwu Township, Huaxi District, Guiyang) 📍Tianhetan Scenic Area: The karst caves and waterfalls are spectacular. It’s recommended to buy a combo ticket and take a boat tour (Shiban Town, Huayan District, Guiyang) 📍Qingyun Road Night Market: The top spot for Guiyang night snacks! Don’t miss the grilled fish and Lei’s tofu balls (Qingyun Road, Nanming District, Guiyang) Day 3: 📍Guizhou Provincial Museum: A must-visit to learn about ethnic minority cultures, and the building itself is very architecturally impressive (Lincheng East Road, Guanshanhu District, Guiyang) 📍CCPARK: Guiyang’s version of Venice, a trendy mall perfect for photos (Guanshanhu District, Guiyang) 📍Qianchun Overpass: An 8D magical overpass, even more stunning from an aerial view (Yunyan District, Guiyang) 🍜 Food Recommendations: ✔️Silk Love Red Soup Silk Doll: The locals’ favorite silk doll restaurant (many chain stores) ✔️Old Kaili Sour Soup Fish: The sour soup is very appetizing, and the fish is tender (Shengfu Road branch) ✔️Chongwang Noodles: Recommended at Nanmenkou Chongwang Noodles (Huguo Road branch) ✔️Dan’s Crispy Duck: Spicy, crispy, and addictive (Minsheng Road branch) 🚗 Transportation Tips: 1. Guiyang’s attractions are quite spread out, so ride-hailing apps are more cost-effective than taxis. 2. There are currently 2 metro lines open; if staying in the old city, it’s best to choose accommodation along Line 1. 3. To get to Qingyan Ancient Town, take bus 210; the trip takes about 1 hour.
