#summervacay So I took a little day trip to Guknyeongsa Temple, and honestly? Such a peaceful escape. The hike up there isn’t too crazy,it’s more like a steady uphill walk with lots of nature to keep you company. Birds, breeze, trees doing their leafy thing... total zen mode. The trail winds through some beautiful forest paths, and it’s just quiet enough to feel like you’re in your own little world. Eventually, you reach the temple, and it’s tucked into the mountain in the most calming way. Guknyeongsa itself is super chill. Not flashy, just simple, traditional, and super serene. There’s this peaceful energy to the whole place, like it’s been watching the world go by forever. I sat for a bit, listened to the wind, and honestly didn’t want to leave. If you’re looking for a hike that’s more about peace than power-walking, this one’s perfect. Nature + history + quiet time = solid day out. Would 100% go again with snacks.
