This Chinese New Year, let's take the Ngong Ping Cable Car in Hong Kong! 📍Ngong Ping Cable Car Tung Chung After arriving at Hong Kong International Airport (HKG), we immediately boarded the Ngong Ping Cable Car. 🚙Getting there: We took Citybus S1 from the airport to Tung Chung Station, which took about 25 minutes. When boarding the bus, board at the front gate and tap your Octopus card or credit card to pay. If you're using cash, bring the exact amount, as they don't give change. When getting off, just ring the bell and get off at the next gate. 🧳Since we just arrived from the airport and had a lot of luggage, we left our bags at Citygate Outlet first. They have lockers. We left our medium-sized lockers for HKD 25 for 2 hours. You can pay with your Octopus card or credit card, which is very convenient. ✻ Afterward, since we arrived quite early, we walked around, took photos, and found something to eat nearby. We waited for the cable car to open at 10:00 AM. ✻ Around 9:30 AM, at the Ngong Ping Cable Car entrance next to Citygate Outlet, people started lining up, and staff were already selling tickets. ✻ We bought our tickets through Trip, which was super convenient. Plus, we could use coins to get a discount. We received a QR code that we could scan to enter, eliminating the need to wait for tickets at the top. When the cable car opened, we were able to walk ahead of everyone else. On the way up, the staff allowed us to sit together in groups of 8 until the cable car was full. We recommend sitting at the front, as this will give you a clear view and prevent other people's heads from being in the way when taking photos. ✻ Since we arrived before everyone else, the shops weren't open yet, but there weren't many people, so we were able to comfortably take photos at Ngong Ping Village. ✻ We boarded the cable car around noon in the morning, so there weren't many people.
