🌊Shek O beach, a secret beach in Hong Kong🇭🇰

#GetDiscountsWithoutLuck #HongKong #HongKongTravel #hongkong#shekobeach#WhereToTravelHongKong #HongKongBeach It is undeniable that Hong Kong is a country that many people have been to. The main reason why many people choose to come to Hong Kong is because they want to pray to the sacred things at various temples, eat, shop or visit amusement parks. But today we would like to recommend 1 place, which is "SHEK O Beach". "SHEK O Beach" is located in the southeast of Hong Kong. It is a beautiful, quiet beach with clear water and soft, smooth sand. This place is suitable for sunbathing, sitting on a beach chair, chilling and reading a book (this costs money, as far as I saw on the sign, 2 beach chairs and 1 umbrella, $150). You can go swimming here. There is a free shower. The day we went, the weather was great, not hot at all. When we tried to touch our feet in the sea water, the water was cool and refreshing. In addition to sitting on the beach, we can also walk around the village. There are many cute corners to take pictures. Most importantly, don't forget to try the local food. How to get there 🚇 Take the MTR to Shau Kei Wan Station, then take the bus to the end of the line for about 20-25 minutes. There are 2 types of buses to choose from, which depart from different exits. The first type is the Local bus No. 9 (fare $13.0). You have to exit at exit A1 and walk a bit further from the station to find the parking lot. We took this type on the way there because the route is winding and a bit steep, which made us feel a bit carsick. The other type is the City bus No. 9, which departs at exit A3 (fare $9.4). We took this type on the way back. Personally, we think that this is because it is a large bus, so it is comfortable and less dizzy. If anyone comes to Hong Kong and doesn't know where to go, this is another interesting place. If you have more time, you can stop by Cape D'Aguilar Sea Cave. If anyone has been there, please leave a review for us to read.

Mussel-Hunting Adventures at Shek O Beach 🦪🌊✨ If you’re up for a unique seaside experience, Shek O is Hong Kong’s laid-back coastal gem where the gentle waves and rocky edges invite you to connect with nature in a hands-on way—mussel picking! 🏖️ Start your day by strolling Shek O Beach’s east side at low tide, when exposed rocks near the cliff base reveal little clusters of wild mussels. Slip on waterproof shoes (those rocks are sharp!) and pack a small bucket for your haul. Mussel gathering here is a fun way to interact with the local seascape—just double-check the water quality before biting into your bounty. Remember, only take what you need and respect the local ecosystem! In between mussel hunting, snap insta-worthy shots with the dramatic ocean cliffs as your backdrop—especially at golden hour, when colours pop and the crowd thins out. Explore the old village lanes for pastel walls and quirky, weathered architecture: perfect for candid beach day photos. ✨ Quick Tips: Shek O is open all day, year-round, but tides matter! Check tide timings for best picking and easier walks. Bring sunscreen, a hat, and plenty of water—shade is limited. The bus from Shau Kei Wan MTR is easy and drops you super close. Key Precaution: Mussels here aren’t regulated for consumption and Hong Kong’s water quality varies—so only eat them if you know it’s safe, and rinse thoroughly. #HongKong #ShekO #BeachLife #LocalAdventures #NatureExperience
