Mid-Autumn Festival and the Fire Dragon in Tai Hang

With Mid-Autumn Festival approaching, I'm thinking of the fire dragon dance in Tai Hang. The Tai Hang Fire Dragon Cultural Center is located on Tai Hang's Book House Street. Originally the "Kongsheng Charity School" founded in the late Qing Dynasty, it was destroyed during World War II and rebuilt with assistance from the Tai Hang Neighborhood Welfare Association. It was included in the revitalization plan in 2013. The tour guide details the origins of the Tai Hang Fire Dragon Dance. The stone tablet commemorating the founding of the "Kongsheng Charity School" reveals interesting historical stories through the list of donations on the tablet. The main entrance facing Book House Street and its unique iron window grilles are also worth exploring. Most interesting are the materials and process used to make the fire dragon, as well as the rituals involved in the dance. Tai Hang is a small community with its own unique atmosphere, including cafes, international restaurants, hotels, art exhibition venues, and tea restaurants. The Fire Dragon Museum's creamy white exterior complements the surrounding atmosphere. A must-see during Mid-Autumn Festival is the Fire Dragon Dance.
