White Horse Temple, a must-see in Luoyang

We took a bus (about 1 hour) to the White Horse Temple in the northeast of Luoyang City (ticket price ￥35). The White Horse Temple was the first temple after Buddhism was introduced to China, and it is also a must-see attraction for tourists visiting Luoyang, so there are many tour groups and pilgrims. However, except for the Heavenly King Hall, which allows visitors to worship inside, visitors can only look at the Buddha statues from afar at the doors of the other halls (the Great Buddha Hall, the Great Hero Hall, and the Reception Hall). The Qingliang Terrace was under renovation and we were unable to enter. The International Buddhist Temple Gardens (Thailand, Myanmar, and India) were all newly built in recent years. I didn’t have much interest in visiting them, so I went to the Qiyun Pagoda on the east side. This 13-story brick pagoda rebuilt in the Jin Dynasty has a history of more than 800 years.
