Hire a driver for ¥30 per person directly to the mountain base (recommended, especially for those prone to motion sickness—the winding mountain roads can be dizzying) ⁉️ Tips to Avoid Pitfalls Hiking poles at the base cost ¥2 each. Bring your own hat, sunglasses, power bank, raincoat, shoe covers (depending on weather), water, and snacks (chicken legs, sausages, instant noodles, water). On the summit, instant noodles cost ¥15 per bowl, bottled water ¥10, and drinks ¥15. There are many vending machines along the way. Strongly advise against night hiking. The cableway closes at 5:10 PM. Be sure to take the first-level cable car—the best views are higher up. For sunrise views, choose lodging near Baihe Peak, close to Golden Summit.
