Since Bunki (Muromachi period, about 500 years ago), the feudal lord Ito family has been deeply revering the shrine, making efforts to rebuild the shrine buildings and preserve the grounds, and since the Meiji period, more and more people have been visiting this sacred area, the only one in Japan, where tropical plants thrive, to look up to the powerful spirit of the enshrined deity, and the divine power of the deity has continued to shine even more brightly to this day as a god of matchmaking, safe childbirth, navigation, and safe transportation.
