Thai Wax Museum

The Thai Wax Museum was inspired by the creative vision of Professor Duangkaew Pittayakornsilp, who aimed to create Thai wax figures modeled after Madame Tussauds. However, the process of creating wax figures faced numerous challenges, such as Thailand's hot and humid climate and high levels of dust, which made traditional wax an unsuitable material due to its lack of durability. Professor Duangkaew spent over 10 years researching and experimenting to find an alternative material that would be durable, strong, and maintain the unique qualities of wax figures. Eventually, she succeeded in creating modern wax figures using fiberglass, a material that is highly durable, intricately detailed, and remarkably lifelike. Moreover, fiberglass provides a softer and more refined appearance compared to traditional wax.
