NYC|Must visit Guggenheim Museum in NYC

Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum 📍1071 5th Ave, New York, NY 10128, United States If you're visiting museums in New York, the Guggenheim is a must-see. When I visited last time, there was a special exhibition of Vasily Kandinsky, who is recognized as an innovator in art and a pioneer of modern abstract painting. In the early 20th century, he was one of the first to develop a lasting impact through non-representational art. The Guggenheim creatively arranged Kandinsky's works in reverse chronological order, so as you ascend the spiral, you move from his later works to his earlier ones. Personally, I prefer his earlier works, but the way he used abstraction to express the artist's urge for spiritual expression and explore the artist's inner needs is indeed thought-provoking. #museums #nyc

The Guggenheim Museum is an amazing museum to visit. It has beautiful abstract architecture that sets the tone of the experience from the moment you step in. It is home for some of the most valuable pieces of art in the world, from some of the most well-known artists in human history. You can walk in and see artwork from greats such as Vincent van Gogh, Picasso, Monet and many others. It is surreal to see paintings that you have seen many times in books and other media up close and personal, getting to witness history firsthand. Even if you are not an avid fan of fine art, there is audio tours that give you extra insight into the history, context and meaning of each artwork so that you can appreciate their individual significance. #historicculture #museumquest #artexhibit #summervacation#hotelstay#urbanexplorer
