1️⃣ The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York features a historically artistic Christmas tree in its Medieval Sculpture Hall. This over 6-meter tall blue spruce is adorned with over 200 lifelike angels and figures, recreating the 18th-century Neapolitan Nativity scene. The decorations are from the collection of Loretta Hines Howard, a collector and artist. Besides the charming angels on the tree, there are over 60 unique figures at the base, each representing different religious meanings. During the festive season, the museum holds a lighting ceremony every day at 4:30 PM. 2️⃣ The Victoria and Albert Museum in the UK showcases a Christmas tree designed by renowned stage designer Es Devlin, known for her work with stars like Beyoncé, Kanye West, and Adele. S he has also designed theater stages and art spaces, notably collaborating with the Royal Opera House and the National Theatre in London. The Singing Tree at the V&A is made of layered "leaves" that project English words, creating an audiovisual experience. 3️⃣ The American Museum of Natural History continues its 30-year tradition of decorating a Christmas tree with origami to celebrate the season. This dazzling 13-foot handcrafted tree is adorned with 500 origami artworks, including unicorns, zebras, dinosaurs, and cranes, inspired by the museum's recent exhibitions and collections. Although the origami theme remains the same each year, a closer look reveals unique creations annually. 4️⃣ Since 1988, Tate Britain commissions contemporary British artists to create a custom Christmas tree for its rotunda. Iranian artist Shirazeh Houshiary "planted" an upside-down tree on the ceiling of the Tate Britain.
