Osaka Expo | Immersive Exhibition Experience for Architecture Enthusiasts

Who can relate? The Osaka Expo has truly ingrained the concept of "bigger is better" into my mind 💥. I spontaneously added this trip to my travel plan, and it turned out to be a paradise for architecture lovers! Before entering, I only managed to secure tickets for the Gundam Pavilion and Ocean Pavilion, while the rest were walk-ins—embracing the thrill of spontaneous exploration. 💫 Gundam Pavilion: Took a friend who had never seen Gundam before, and they were instantly converted into a fan! From awe to tears, we even received booklets and stickers. The hidden giveaways at the venue were a delightful surprise—who hasn’t been captivated by the original Gundam? 🇫🇷 French Pavilion: Totally outshined the American Pavilion! We queued for just 5 minutes in the evening and stumbled upon the "Princess Mononoke" animal sculpture Easter egg. The artistic vibe created by LV and Dior was absolutely mesmerizing—no dull moments, pure aesthetic overload that left us exhilarated! 🇨🇭 Swiss Pavilion: The 30-minute wait was so worth it! Their high-tech bubble machine was incredibly fun—you could talk and make bubbles stick to your face. The exoskeleton design was mind-blowingly cool, and the interactions with Japanese aunties were adorably heartwarming. 🇪🇺 EU Pavilion: A Nordic lady handed me an "Oba Camera"! The robot zen garden was deeply therapeutic, leaving me so calm I felt ready to raise fish 🐟. Other highlights included the Ocean Dome with its massive eco-friendly black sphere, the American Pavilion showcasing immigration films and moon rocks (while laughing with a Beijing auntie in the queue), and smaller pavilions that felt like a travel market. I bought a MaMa fridge magnet and a Kitty algae sticker, which even earned recognition from a Japanese auntie (social anxiety chaos ensued)! The China Pavilion, though criticized for resembling a party-building center, had an impressive architectural space with a transparent and massive design. Unfortunately, the long queue deterred me from entering (my legs couldn’t take it). Overall, the Expo was a feast of "big and beautiful" aesthetics that left me utterly brainwashed. Architecture enthusiasts, don’t hesitate—just go!
