Jampa Ling Monastery in Qamdo, Tibet

Jampa Ling Monastery is located at the confluence of the Angqu River and the Zhaqu River in Qamdo City, the capital of the Qamdo region of Tibet. The monastery was founded in 1444 by Xirab Sangpo, a disciple of Tsongkhapa, the founder of the Gelug sect. The main Buddha enshrined in the temple is Jampa (Great Compassion) Buddha, so it is named Jampa Ling Temple. Whether you believe in Buddhism or not, visiting temples is a very important project when traveling to Tibet. Perhaps the scale of the buildings, the quality of construction and the level of luxury cannot be compared with the famous temples of the Han nationality.
