My stay at Piccolo Borgo Hotel in Rome was an unexpectedly peaceful retreat. Located at Via delle Capannelle 134 near the ENAV office, the hotel is slightly off the city center but conveniently accessible from Rome-Ciampino Airport, with scenic countryside views along the way🌿. Though a bit remote, it's a reassuring choice offering rare tranquility, perfect for those seeking relaxation. The hotel features a retro yet elegant decor, with many rooms exuding a cozy vibe. The reception staff were exceptionally friendly - the warm welcome from the front desk lady was a lovely touch🍵. The outdoor pool is a highlight, ideal for lounging or sunbathing. The garden and poolside bar (though drinks are pricey) make for delightful spots to enjoy Roman sunshine with coffee🌞. Rooms are well-equipped, moderately sized, and meticulously cleaned with fresh towels and linens daily. The beds were somewhat firm (maybe just my preference for softer ones😅). Some amenities like the WiFi struggled with 3G devices, but overall facilities were complete. Nearby attractions like Creativity Escape Room and Appian Way (Via Appia Antica) offered enjoyable experiences. For dinner, Mi'ndujo - Tuscolana nearby serves absolutely delicious meals🍝. Minor drawbacks include less convenient access to main city attractions - while there's a shuttle to the metro, waiting in chilly weather can be trying🚌. Some rooms might experience aircraft noise from the nearby airport. But these are tolerable trade-offs at this price point😉. Overall, Piccolo Borgo is a serene haven, excellent for budget-conscious travelers seeking peace. As a perfect pace-changer during travels, I'd definitely consider returning for another relaxing stay👒!
