2025 Seoul Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in July)
Seoul is the capital city of South Korea. The temples and palaces of this city tell a long and storied history. The magnificent natural landscape and modern skyscrapers merge together to form a city that is both young and cultured. Gyeongbokgung and Changdeokgung Palaces are ancient palaces, while Bukchon Hanok Village and Namsangol Hanok Village are well-preserved traditional Korean villages. Seoul is a shopping paradise. In Myeong-dong, Dongdaemun Market, Sinsa-dong, and Samcheong-dong, you can find all kinds of cutting-edge fashions, including clothing, jewelry, and make-up. Once night falls, Seoul is even more magnificent. Climb atop the YTN Seoul Tower to feast your eyes on the city's glittering nightscape. The Han River is the background of many beloved Korean soap operas. Seoul's delicious food is not to be missed. Bibimbap, kimchi, and Samgyetang (Korean ginseng chicken soup) are all delicious in their own right.

Free admission + few people, great for taking photos🔥This retro Korean street is a must-visit spot! It’s right behind Gyeongbokgung Palace📍
#7月發文留言活动2025
Speaking of Gyeongbokgung Palace, many people know that they need to change into hanbok and take photos.
But there is actually a place next to it that is worth visiting:
Seoul National Folk Museum! ✨✨
Not only is there no admission fee, but there is also a hanok area and retro streetscape that are perfect for taking photos.
The main point is that there are not many people, it is really very Buddhist and fun to visit😍
This time I walked here after changing into hanbok and taking photos of Gyeongbokgung Palace.
The Folk Museum is at the back door of Gyeongbokgung Palace, and it takes about five minutes to walk from the Geunjeongjeon Palace~⏱️
The exterior of the Seoul National Folk Museum is a very special pagoda-style building🏯
The white walls are matched with turquoise tiles, and you can see it at a distance!
What really surprised me was the "Street of Memory" outdoors at the Seoul National Folk Museum. The whole street recreates the daily scenery of Korea from the 1960s to the 1980s. There are stationery stores, barber shops, comic book stores, and small shops. Each one is super retro, and even the interior is very exquisite, like walking into the scene of an old Korean drama📺. And there are very few people! No matter how you take pictures, no one steals the spotlight✨. There happened to be a small cultural carnival event when I went there that day🎉. There were stalls from different countries on site~ The whole vibe is super plus✨. If you like to capture the cultural atmosphere and want to take pictures of different Korean scenery, this kind of irregular outdoor activities is really recommended!
📍Address: 37 Samcheong-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul
🚇Transportation: Subway Line 3 Gyeongbokgung Station Exit 5, about a 10-minute walk
💰Tickets: Free
🕰️Opening hours:
* 09:00-18:00 (March-October)
* 09:00-17:00 (November-February)
* Extended to 20:00 on the last Wednesday of each month (Cultural Day)
* Closed on Tuesdays🗣️Guide language: Korean, English, and Chinese guides are available (subject to the schedule of the day)
📚ARC·N·BOOK, Seoul 🔍 Tunnel of Books, Heart Full of Joy
If you’re into cozy corners, hidden gems, and aesthetic book vibes—ARC·N·BOOK is a must-visit. Tucked away like a secret library in the heart of Seoul, this bookstore feels more like a magical escape than a shop. The iconic arched tunnel of books is seriously photo-worthy 📸
It’s not just about books either—you’ll find a curated mix of lifestyle items, indie magazines, and stationery that make you want to take everything home. Quiet, charming, and full of character, it’s the kind of place that makes you slow down and soak in the moment

Mini Hydrangea Garden Discovered in Seoul
While casually strolling around the neighborhood, I stumbled upon a hidden gem—Yangjae Citizen's Forest Hydrangea Spot! Whenever I think of hydrangeas, places near Seoul or Jeju Island usually come to mind first. But finding such a beautiful spot right here in my own neighborhood made me so happy 🪽. Although this location isn't overflowing with hydrangeas like some of the more famous hydrangea destinations, it’s still a lovely place to visit. Pairing it with a walk along Yangjaecheon Stream and Citizen's Forest makes for a perfect outing to enjoy flowers and a picnic. Highly recommended!〰️🩷
🔎 To get there, exit Yangjae Citizen's Forest Station from Exit 5 and walk towards Yun Bong-gil Memorial Hall. You'll see a large sign for Maeheon Citizen's Forest. Right next to the sign, there’s a wooden staircase leading down to the hydrangea path.

🇰🇷A hotel I will definitely return to
I stayed at the Shilla Stay Hotel in the Gangnam area 🏨✨
This hotel has an urbane and sophisticated design, and both the lobby and the rooms have a calming atmosphere. The room is not too large, but it is compact, but the bed is very comfortable, and it was well-cleaned and clean. The location is excellent, with Gangnam Station, cafes, and convenience stores within walking distance◎ The breakfast buffet had a variety of Korean side dishes and Western food, so I was able to spend a relaxing morning on my trip. It was a well-balanced hotel that was easy to use for both sightseeing and business, and I would like to stay there again.

🇰🇷A must-go in Myeongdong! One-stop Korean steam massage, a great place to recharge after shopping!
#SeoulHot Springs Walking around Myeongdong until your legs are weak? Hurry up and take in this super considerate "Myeongdongmud" sweat steaming massage shop💆♀️ Korean loess sweat steaming + hot spring bath + professional body massage three-piece set, directly sweep away the fatigue!
As soon as I walked into the store, I was amazed by the details! Clean and hygienic disposable underwear and disinfected towels are provided here, so there is no need to worry about hygiene issues~ There is also an independent storage room, where shopping trophies and clothes can be stored safely! The most considerate thing is the layered design for men and women, which directly maximizes the sense of privacy, and girls can also enjoy their private space~
The hot spring pool in the hot spring area has clear water. After steaming the loess sweat steam and taking a hot bath, the pores are all screaming! If you want deep cleaning, you can also add a bath scrubbing service. The professional female technicians are super good~ Finally, lie on the massage bed and let the technician help you stretch your stiff muscles, and you will be refreshed from head to toe!
📍The location is right in the heart of Myeongdong, and you can walk there directly after shopping. Next time you come to Myeongdong, don’t forget to add this relaxing place to your itinerary, so that your body, mind and soul can have a super marathon!
Affordable Seoul hotel with free breakfast
When thinking of Seoul, areas like Gangnam, Hongdae, and Jamsil often come to mind. However, today we’d like to introduce the M Felice Hotel located in Gangseo-gu 👏. Gangseo-gu is a redevelopment area situated in the western part of Seoul, and recently, many new delicious restaurants and trendy cafes have emerged❕. This hotel is conveniently located in a popular spot within Gangseo-gu, with excellent access to the subway station✅.
One standout feature compared to other hotels is that the accommodation price includes breakfast❕. Although free, the breakfast is highly rated for its taste, and I was looking forward to it. The spread included everything you’d need, from yogurt and cereal to Korean-style soups and salads, leaving me completely satisfied 🍚🥣🍌.
Even if you’re not staying overnight, you can enjoy the breakfast alone, so be sure to visit 💖.

Korean Seafood Feast You Must Try!
Seafood lovers, don't miss out on 갯벌의 조개 성수 in Seongsu!
This restaurant features its own seafood tanks, ensuring the freshest and liveliest seafood 💓. They steam the seafood right after you order, serving it in a massive steamer basket that offers an impressive visual experience (≧▽≦).
✧ Giant Shellfish Pot 💦
It's truly enormous ❤️🔥 and perfect for sharing between two people! The pot includes mussels, clams, abalone, squid 🦑, shrimp, and more. Steam for just 7 minutes, and you'll enjoy seafood that's both fresh and sweet 😍. Pair it with noodles for an even better taste!
✧ Cheesy Corn Egg Bake
Served in a stone pot, this dish is aromatic and irresistible. The eggs are not only flavorful but also soft and fluffy 😙.
The restaurant offers unlimited kimchi rice for free, so guys, no need to worry about leaving hungry 😌.

[Seoul, Korea] Korean rice cakes: Gyeonggi rice cake shop
I love Japanese sweets like dango and daifuku, and on my first trip to Korea alone in 5 and a half years, the first thing that caught my eye was Korean mochi 🧐
I went to a shop recommended to me by a Korean person called Gyeonggi Toji 😆
I was at a store in Mangwon, and after much deliberation, I bought 4 types to try
·Mugwort injeolmi
·Nutritional churd
·Strawberry churd
·Leeti dae-doe
I loved the sticky churd made with glutinous rice and the churd with mochi sandwiched between bean paste 😍
I bought them at Lotte Department Store in Myeongdong on the day I returned home, and froze them as soon as I got home!
It's very convenient that it's individually wrapped
I want to buy it again when I go to Korea😁

⌇ Seongsu
Food and cafe in Seongsu
1-5. Kokiri Bagel Seongsu
The bagels you buy in Japan tend to be a bit chewy, but the ones here are soft and chewy
When you eat them at the store, you can get a rebaked bagel that feels like it's just been baked
It was so good that I went there twice during my stay and brought some back to Japanʬʬʬ
6-8. Onion Seongsu
A bakery cafe that everyone knows
I found the kind of bread that looks like a snowy mountain lined up in a case
There were about twice as many as I imagined
I had plans to go for lunch, so I gave up and only had a white flat that day
Next time I'll be hungry and eat it♡
9. GEBANG SIKDANG Seongsu
It's a cafe? The interior makes you think, but it's a restaurant where you can get proper ganjang gejang
And it's a set meal style. It might be nice to know about this in Korea, where eating alone is a high hurdle♡
My son wanted to eat it, so I added some soy sauce
10. Neungdong Minari Seongsu Branch
"Minari Cuisine" was one of our food missions
Minari is the Japanese word for parsley
Yukke bibimbap topped with a lot of minari
It was delicious when mixed well with rice⭐︎⭐︎⭐︎
The gomtang covered in minari was also full of beef, which was also delicious!

Just checked out in Seoul!! Close to Myeongdong!! 😭😭Good accommodation and cheap price, I cried
My dears! If you come to Seoul during the summer, you should really stay at this hotel! You must stay at this fairy hotel!
Park Hyatt Seoul is located in Gangnam, opposite coexmall, with a prime location! The Samseong subway station is less than 100 meters away from the door, and the transportation is super convenient! The hotel is surrounded by 18 acres of garden landscape, and the environment is very secluded. It is rare to enjoy such a quiet atmosphere in the downtown area.
The hotel's decoration design is full of modern and artistic atmosphere. When you walk into the lobby, you can feel the high-end and elegance. The room is fully equipped with comfortable bedding, which can allow people to get a full rest after a day of running around. And the view of the room is quite good, whether it is overlooking the city street view or enjoying the garden scenery, it has a unique flavor.
Not only that, the hotel's service is also first-class, the staff is friendly and can respond to guests' needs in a timely manner. If you plan to come to Seoul during the summer, this Park Hyatt Seoul is highly recommended and will definitely add wonderful memories to your trip! #SeoulHotel
[Seoul, Korea] Solo trip to Korea: Bossam
I came here to eat bossam 🐷
They have a set menu for single diners
I ordered the bossam set meal!
Bossum is usually made with pork belly, loin, or pork belly, but this one is made with thigh meat 🤤
I tried to imitate the ajussi and ajumma at the table next to me, but my first bite was pretty big 😅
I had to hold my mouth while eating to keep it from spilling out 🤣
The meat wasn't greasy, it was moist and soft 😋
All the side dishes were delicious 😆
I decided to go back for more
I was a bit hesitant about raw garlic, so I left it, but I heard that it's an important ingredient in determining the taste of bossam, so I decided to eat it with it next time! 🧄
As soon as a seat becomes available, the next customer comes in.
By the time I finished eating and left, there was a line outside.
No Japanese menu
Solo diners are welcome🙆♀️
There are not many Japanese people🇯🇵
I showed the staff the menu photo on NAVERmap and said, "Igochuseyoo"😁

Recommended as a souvenir! Korean Daiso cosmetics💖
Daiso cosmetics recommended by a Korean resident who visits Daiso once a week✨
Korean Daiso cosmetics are actually the best value for money, but to be honest, there are also some that are a bit questionable... Save this post and use it as a reference for your shopping!
I've put together a list of the products I particularly love🫶🏻The skincare is really good and I use some every day, so it's the best value for money!
By the way, I have combination skin! Skincare products are perceived differently depending on your skin type, so please use this as a reference!
*Opinions may vary from person to person♪.
If you come to Korea, be sure to buy some as a souvenir💓

[Hotels near Seoul Station] Beautiful, affordable hotels near the station
#SeoulHotel
Hello!
This is Shelly, who travels to Korea 7-8 times a year!
As I've been using Jimsilbang more and more, the hotels in Seoul are getting more and more expensive and the cost-performance ratio is not good. 🥲
I'm always looking for a hotel that is a little cheaper, has clean bathrooms, is easy to put my luggage in, and is comfortable to rest in (has chairs)!
This time I stayed at a newly opened hotel right next to Seoul Station!
It's close to Line 1, so it takes about 15 minutes to walk to AREX or the Airport Railroad, but it's also close to Namdaemun and the Sky Garden, so I think it's a great location.
As you can see from the photos, it's clean and spacious. ✨
There were no problems with the bathroom or towels, and the water pressure was great!
However, the sink isn't very large, so there isn't much space to put your belongings.
The toilet is in the shower room, and there is no shower curtain, so the floor gets wet.
But it was clean so it didn't bother me that much. ☺️
The hair dryer is installed in the room. I think there are 4 hangers?
The slippers aren't disposable, but they were nice and comfortable to wear! There were shower slippers so no problem◎
I stayed for 2 nights and they cleaned the room well and gave us 2 bottles of water each!
This costs about 12,000 yen per night, and since we were 2 people this time, it was 6,000 yen per person per night!
The only thing that makes it different from other places is that check-in is late at 6pm.
The ajoshi at the front desk doesn't speak Japanese, but they use a translator and talk to me in my poor Korean😌
I'm sure I'll be coming back, so I hope it doesn't become too popular...lol
I recommend it❤️

Korea/Seoul [Yongsan] Cafe time with cookies🍪
#AbsolutelyFreeTrip
A popular shop where you can enjoy authentic American-sized cookies.
It's perfect as a souvenir or a snack for cafe time, and it's also recommended for posting on social media because it looks cute🍪
It features large cookies with a moist and crunchy texture,
colorful toppings, rich chocolate,
nuts, marshmallows, etc.
It looks cute and is perfect for social media.
There is an eat-in space inside the store, so you can have coffee and cookies during cafe time ☕️🩷
I ordered Earl Grey and macadamia cookies, which were moist and had a strong Earl Grey flavor, and were very delicious 🤤
There are a wide variety of flavors, and I'm interested in other flavors, so I'd like to go again when I'm in the area 🥰

The LE LABO #flagship store in #Seoul #BukchonHanok is now open🎉
Le Labo Seoul Bukchon Flagship Store
LE LABO opened in the traditional Hanok Village on June 11, 2025🎉, and there is also Le Labo Café inside
This is Le Labo's fourth flagship store in the world. Bring an empty Le Labo bottle of more than 50ml🫙 to fill it so that you can see the perfumer's work process up close👍🏻
In addition to fragrances, the store also provides a raw stone sink, which is very cool
This time I finally found LE LABO hair mud and bought it immediately. I paid special attention to the fact that the hair mud and the body cream look exactly the same, only the small print is different, and I almost took the wrong one🤣
There are a few seats in Le Labo Café where you can sit and enjoy it

A Quiet Gem in the Heart of Seoul 🌸🏯
Changgyeonggung Palace feels like stepping into a peaceful slice of history right in the middle of the city.
The wooden palace structures, the wide courtyards, and the greenhouse garden at the back were all so calming.
Note ✨ if you’re wearing hanbok (traditional Korean dress), your entry is totally free! So why not dress up, soak in the royal vibes, and snap some extra-Instagrammable shots without spending a won on admission?

🇰🇷🏨5 recommended hotels in Seoul! We chose them with an emphasis on cleanliness!
Finding a hotel in Seoul is really hard... Especially in Gangnam and Myeongdong, there are so many options that I always get lost on where to stay💭
Even if it looks really nice on the booking site, when I actually go there I think, "Huh... is this really this hotel?"🥹 lol
I try to avoid motels as much as possible, and prioritize "cleanliness" over location and size🍃✨
Korean hotels can have a different feel than Japanese hotels, so I really recommend checking the reviews on Google Maps! You can see real information that you can't get from photos, so it's reassuring to look at them carefully without compromising◎
I think everyone has different priorities, but this time I've carefully selected 5 hotels in Seoul that I've actually stayed at and thought were good, or that I was considering and thought, "I can confidently recommend these hotels!"🫶
I hope this will be of some help to those who are going to travel to Korea💞 I hope that your trip will be more enjoyable with a comfortable hotel stay✈️
