Haw Par Villa

Haw Par Villa, also known as Tiger Balm Garden, was built in 1937 and is located on a seaside hill along Pasir Panjang Road on Singapore's west coast. Named after its owners, brothers Aw Boon Haw and Aw Boon Par, this villa garden was a gift from the famous businessman Aw Boon Haw to his younger brother Aw Boon Par, intended to promote Chinese culture. Today, Haw Par Villa is no longer privately owned but has been taken over by the Singapore government, undergoing multiple renovations and expansions to become a public park.
