Stopped by Village Roast Duck at Sunway Pyramid for lunch and left feeling satisfied. This spot serves up authentic Cantonese-style roast meats in a nicely decorated modern Chinese setting. Despite the lunch crowd, we were seated quickly and attended to efficiently. We ordered the signature roast duck, char siew, and roasted pork belly, along with a plate of vegetables with oyster sauce. The roast duck was juicy with crispy skin — exactly what you’d hope for. The char siew was sweet, tender, and caramelized just right. But the real surprise was the roasted pork belly — beautifully layered with a crisp, crackling top and a good fat-to-meat ratio that wasn’t overwhelming. Every bite was satisfying. Portion sizes were fair, and food was served hot and fast. The service was brisk but efficient, typical of a busy Cantonese eatery. Prices are slightly on the premium side but well-justified given the quality and location inside a major shopping mall.
