Chopin Museum

The Chopin Museum is located in the center of Warsaw, Poland. It is housed in a Baroque palace built in the late 17th century. The palace was rebuilt after World War II and once served as the home of the Chopin Society. Founded by the Polish Chopin Society in 1930, the museum has the world's largest collection of Chopin-related items, with a total of more than 7,500 items, including Chopin's musical manuscripts, photos, letters and the last piano he used during his lifetime‌12. Historical Background The Chopin Museum was established to commemorate the great Polish musician Fryderyk Chopin (1810-1849). Chopin is one of the representatives of European romantic music in the 19th century. He is famous for his piano music and is known as the "Poet of Piano"2. The museum was founded in 1930 and moved to the Ostrogski Palace in 1954, where the Chopin Museum was established. Opening hours and ticket information The Chopin Museum is open from 10:00 to 18:00 every day, with free admission on Wednesdays and closed on Mondays, New Year's Day, Easter and Christmas. The ticket price is 23 zlotys for full ticket and 14 zlotys for discount ticket.
