Enjoying Washington D.C. at Night - Capitol Building, White House

[Capitol] East Capitol St NE & First St SE, Washington DC, DC 20004 Whether I was in California or New York, I would come home early because I was scared when the sun went down, but Washington D.C. was the first city that felt the safest! I think it felt safer because there were security guards in front of the Capitol and the White House, and the city itself was clean and there were no homeless people. It was really nice to be able to tour even after the sun went down. It felt peaceful to sit on the lawn and chat and see the buildings with lights on! ♡ The dome-shaped Capitol was unique and nice, and all the buildings in Washington had an old-fashioned feel to them, which was cool. #SummerIsSummer #USTravel
