Ailao Mountain is more than just mist; it also has the colorful glass of Yuanyang Rice Terraces.

From November to March, during the irrigation season, the cascading waters of the Yuanyang Rice Terraces reflect the blue sky, white clouds, mountains, and trees... like pieces of shimmering, gold-rimmed stained glass, spread across the embrace of Ailao Mountain. However... the perennial mist is the norm for Ailao Mountain; during the overcrowded Lunar New Year period, every viewing platform is completely packed. Finally, guided by locals, while hiking along the Azheke Rice Terraces to Duoyishu, I was incredibly lucky to capture the stunning mirror-like terraces. 📸Photo spots from February 1-2, 2025: ☀️Daytime, February 1 (Pictures 2-9): Azheke - Duoyishu (Rice Terrace Hike) ⛅️Sunset, February 1 (Pictures 10-11): Due to heavy traffic, I missed the sunset at Bada.
