The most precious testimony of the Zamudjar style in Zaragoza

Spanish Pyrenees Hike ~ Zaragoza (Region) It was built to replace the older Romanesque Temple of San Blas. The church has a single nave, with chapels between the battlements, and a five-sided sanctuary. The interior of the cathedral is filled with pointed arches and pointed vaulted ceilings. The side naves were added in the 15th century, and the chapels were opened in the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries. A highlight of this monument is the exterior and interior of its magnificent octagonal brick tower. Other notable elements include the Gothic-style north facade and the main altarpiece in gilded polychrome wood, made in 1515 by Renaissance sculptor Damián Forment and featuring a depiction of St. Paul.
