Lianjiang Gaqiao Mangrove Reserve—China's largest mangrove nature reserve

Zhanjiang Gaqiao Mangrove Reserve is located in Lianjiang City, Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province. It is the largest mangrove nature reserve in China and also the core area of the Zhanjiang Mangrove National Nature Reserve in Guangdong, a national AAA-rated tourist attraction. The reserve stretches for 27 kilometers and covers an area of more than 37,000 acres, including 17,000 acres of mangroves. Gaqiao's mangrove natural landscape and biodiversity are rich, with 15 families and 25 species of mangroves, hundreds of species of fish, shellfish, and insects, and more than 300 species of birds. It is a paradise for migratory birds to roost in winter and a marine forest tourism and holiday area.
