It’s quite convenient to get there by taking the train from KL Sentral, which takes about 30-40 minutes🚉 Right at the entrance, there’s an enormous golden statue of Murugan, and its size is truly overwhelming… It’s said to be 42.7 meters tall😲 And right next to it, you’ll see the colorful 272 steps! Make sure to bring a bottle of water before you climb up, haha. There are monkeys here and there, so watch your belongings! If you have snacks or drinks, they’re likely to be snatched🐒 After climbing all the steps, the inside of the cave is quite grand, and the mysterious atmosphere blending nature and religion makes you zone out for a moment. There’s also a temple where you have to take off your shoes, but it was fully accessible for tourists to explore! Admission is free, but the ‘Ramayana Cave’ next to the cave temple costs 5 ringgit. Second stop: Merdeka Square – A historic landmark in the city center, surrounded by many historic buildings, especially the clock tower in the center of the square, which is 100 meters tall. Third stop: Petaling Street – From Merdeka Square, passing through Central Market, you arrive at an old Chinatown called Petaling Street, one of the liveliest places in Kuala Lumpur with a strong Chinese atmosphere. Fourth stop: Kuala Lumpur Railway Station – Built in 1910, it’s quite old and sometimes called the Old Train Station. Fifth stop: National Museum – National Mosque – National Heroes Monument Sixth stop: New National Palace – The palace grounds are full of green grass and flowers, and many celebrations take place here. However, as tourists, we can only admire the exterior and take photos with the palace guards. Seventh stop: Petronas Twin Towers – Towering stainless steel buildings with 88 floors above ground, a famous landmark of Kuala Lumpur. 🚩 After touring such a big circle, we beautifully return to the hotel to end the trip.
