TASTE THE BEST, AUTHENTIC NASI PADANG IN BUMBU BABAH, KL
#favouriteitinerary
Bumbu Babah in KL serves the best, authentic Nasi Padang to you, you don't have to fly to Padang, Sumatera.
Located in the bustling Melawati Mall's Food Empire, this gem offers a killer selection of dishes, but the star is definitely the Gulai Urat.
The tender, chewy urat drenched in rich coconut yellow gravy is pure heaven.
Add the fiery red sambal balado and the zesty green sambal ijo, and you're in for a flavor explosion !
All this deliciousness comes at a super affordable price, making it the hottest spot in town right now!

Monkey Canopy - Sg Long
Very unique and beatiful decoration by the restaurant. They had 2 session lunch and dinner.
A bit pricey but worth to try. Their food taste i can recommend 7/10. Not spicy at all for thai food. But the decoration of food very nice and fantastic. Staff 100% friendly and very helpful. They provide buggy for people not able to walk. Please give it a try! 3/5 star #100WaysOfTravel

You can enjoy kind of great butter chicken @ Jibril, Bangi with tasty deserts and friendly services from the staffs.
Very nice atmosphere to dine in but reservation advised as you end up have to wait at waiting area if there are no table vacant to be seated.
Price are reasonable and the taste quite outstanding. It can be one of the choices to bring love one for special occasion such as birthday or anniversary.

Coffee in the morning at Monét
Monét Melawati
5443, Fasa, 6, Jalan J 9, Taman Melawati, 53100 Kuala Lumpur, Selangor
Upon my arrival on the weekend, nearly every food is sold out- pasteries, meals and others
So here what we managed to try, since we just wanted to chill in a cafe, have some conversational with each other, which are:
1. Houjicha (non-coffee, they used niko nelo matcha)
2. Latte
3. Peppered fries
Everything cost about RM 45
I rate it 4.4 🌟
Plus, they have both indoor and outdoor setting!

GooGoo GaaGaa Malaysia
Interior was exquisite, when I asked the barista about it, he mentioned it’s because the owner is an interior designer, well that makes sense! Really nicely decorated space, though might look a little elitist to some haha
Ordered a cuppa iced latte and a pesto pasta. Pasta was really good even though presentation could be improved, looks too plain. Iced latte was nice but not strong enough imo.

Midday Makan Spot for Local Favourites — KW Food Street, Pandan Indah
#summervacay #KWFoodStreet #PandanIndahEats #LocalDelights #HawkerFoodKL #LunchHunt #FoodieStop #MalaysiaMakan
The place is KW Food Street at Pandan Indah
I went there in the afternoon and was surprised to see quite a few stalls already open. It’s not a night market, but a proper hawker center with a wide selection of local favourites — from curry noodles and chicken rice to herbal soups and fried snacks. The vibe was relaxed, mostly locals grabbing lunch or tapao. I enjoyed the casual setup and took my time browsing what to eat. It’s the kind of place where every dish feels like a familiar taste of home.
Travel Tips & How to Get There
• Located at Jalan Pandan Indah 4/6, easy to spot from the roadside
• Afternoon is less crowded, good time to beat the dinner rush
• Hawker-style setup, with shared seating and open-air layout
• Ample food choices — perfect for a quick lunch or light bite
• Nearest LRT: Pandan Indah (20-minute walk or short Grab ride)
• Limited parking nearby during peak hours, best to come early

Hakka Noodle Heaven Hidden in Pandan Indah!
#summervacay #ChongKoHakkaNoodle #PandanIndahEats #HakkaNoodleLove #KLHiddenGem #AuthenticHakkaFood #LocalFavourite #SimpleAndDelicious #MalaysianFoodie #NoodleCravings #BreakfastKL
The place is Restoran Chong Ko Hakka Noodle @ Pandan Indah.
If you love noodles with a touch of nostalgia, this spot is a must. I came here craving something comforting, and their Hakka noodles didn’t disappoint—springy, slightly chewy noodles topped with minced meat and paired with a bowl of wanton soup. It’s humble, hearty, and hits the spot just right.
The vibe is very local, packed with regulars who clearly know this is the place for a good, no-fuss meal. I love how fast the service was—even when it’s busy, food comes out hot and fast. Their chili sauce adds that perfect spicy kick too. I would recommend their curry thin noodle paired with meat ball. It is one of my favorite.
Travel Tips & How to Get There:
• Best time to visit:
• Morning or early lunch—it gets crowded fast, especially on weekends.
• How to get there:
• Located in Pandan Indah, just off Jalan Pandan Indah 4/6.
• Plenty of parking in the shoplot area, but go early for easy spots.
• Tips:
• Don’t skip the dry noodles with minced pork—it’s their signature.
• Try pairing with dumpling or meatball soup for a complete set.
• They also do takeaway and packed orders if you’re in a rush.

Off the beaten track in KL - art, hiking, make your own pewter dish
#kualalumpurguide
What else can you do apart from shopping and cafe-hopping in KL?
In Chinatown / Petaling Street:
● Graffiti and painting street art
● Art jamming at a studio
● Tea tasting
For those more adventurous, try hiking! About a 30-minute drive from Chinatown area:
● Bukit Sri Permata - there are some steep inclines and ground is quite sandy so you need proper shoes/gear
● Air Tejun Tujuh Puteri - waterfall that's along the same hiking trail - path can get pretty narrow in some areas
Quirky cafes / pewter-making workshop:
● Little Giraffe Story House - about 30-min drive from Chinatown area - chill cafe with local food and retro vibes
● Royal Selangor Visitor Centre - try your hand at making your own pewter dish!
Accommodation: B Hotel Kuala Lumpur - right in the middle of Petaling Street, where you can walk to several cafes and also near to the mrt station

Kuala Lumpur & Perak - Skyscrapers, Soul Food & Stories!
Finally, I am back again in Malaysia to visit my dearest Mum in Perak! 😍
Short stay 2days in Kuala Lumpur, at nearby hotel (walking distance, 5 minutes to Avenue K, 10 minutes to Suria KLCC) to enjoy skyscrapers and soul food at my favourite restaurants. I can guarantee that anyone who tried their food will be satisfied 🤩.
1) Burger & Lobster in Suria KLCC.
2) Warung Cik Siti Nasi Kerabu Tumis, Pasar Dato Keramat (morning time).
3) Samudera Patin, Kampung Baru (lunch hour).
4) Midori Izakaya by Azri (dinner).
Moved to Perak via ETS, from KL Sentral to Kuala Kangsar. Actually this is my first to enjoy train ride and surprisingly KTMB transportation and service provided beyond expectation. 5/5⭐️
Then, the stories begin!!! Village view, meeting people, and local food are superb. Fortunately, i am back during King Fruit season; DURIAN 🤩. Tried Malaysian delicacies i.e Nasi Dagang, Ais Batu Campur (ABC), Nasi Kandar Pantai Remis. 6/5⭐️. I paid my visit to watch primary student netball tournament, and my sister’s team WIN. 🥇
I am still in Perak, will enjoy my stay to the fullest.
Love Malaysia! Love the people! Love the food! Love everything!

Local Vibes & Kopitiam Classics at Thong Kee Cafe, Pandan Indah
#summervacay #ThongKeeCafe #PandanIndahEats #KopitiamVibes #BreakfastInKL #KLFoodieTrail #MalaysianBreakfast #TK1M #ThongKeeSignature #HainaneseCoffee #KopitiamCultur
I dropped by Thong Kee Cafe at Pandan Indah for breakfast, and the place was already buzzing with locals. Known for its signature TK 1+1 and classic kopitiam offerings, this outlet keeps the traditional vibe alive with a clean, comfortable setting and speedy service.
I ordered their famous croissant kaya butter toast along with a soft-boiled egg set and a cup of their strong, fragrant coffee—it was the perfect Malaysian-style breakfast. The croissant was warm and flaky, and that sweet-salty kaya butter combo really hit the spot. It’s the kind of place that reminds you why simple food done right is unbeatable.
Whether you’re here to tapau or dine in, Thong Kee always delivers consistent quality and a satisfying start to the day.
Travel Tips & How to Get There:
• Best time to visit:
• Morning, ideally before 9am to beat the crowd.
• How to get there:
• Located in Pandan Indah, Ampang area.
• Driving is recommended; street parking is available but limited during peak hours.
• Alternatively, use Grab for convenience.
• Tips:
• Don’t miss the TK 1+1—it’s their signature.
• If you’re a croissant fan, try all the flavours; they go fast.
• Queue can be long on weekends, so plan ahead if you’re with family or in a rush.

"A Cozy Café Worth Visiting — Pastribella"✨🌸
Pastribella isn’t just a café, it’s an experience. A place where food is made with heart, and guests are treated with care. Perfect for brunch dates, quiet journaling afternoons, or catch-ups over cake.
The café is beautifully decorated — cozy, bright, and very Instagram-worthy. From the moment you walk in, it smells like freshly baked cakes, and you just know you’re in for something good.
🍝 What I Tried:
I had their creamy carbonara and a slice of their famous burnt cheesecake — both were delicious! The pasta was rich and comforting, and the cheesecake was soft, not too sweet, and had that perfect burnt top.
I also ordered a latte, which was smooth and well-balanced — a great match for the dessert.
Pastribella feels like the kind of place you’ll want to visit again and again. Whether it’s for brunch, dessert, or just to chill, it’s definitely worth the stop if you’re around Melawati.
📍Address: 11, Jalan Wangsa Murni 4, Wangsa Melawati, 53300 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
🕰️Business Hours: Daily, 12:00PM-09:00PM. Closed Monday.

Located just next to the Giant Panda Conservation Centre, the Ape Centre at Zoo Negara is a must-visit spot for anyone interested in Malaysia’s great apes. The highlight of the centre is the awe-inspiring Bornean orangutan, known for its massive size and extraordinary strength—its arms are up to six times stronger than a human’s. Observing these intelligent primates up close is both humbling and educational.
The Ape Centre is not just a display; it plays a crucial role in orangutan conservation, offering a safe sanctuary for these endangered animals. It actively works to protect them from threats like poaching and illegal hunting, while educating visitors on the importance of wildlife preservation. Local breakfast at Kopi dan Benang
#summervacay
A cool unique breakfast spot! Dine in here at Kopi and Benang for a unique kampung vibe ambience, classic Malaysian menu such as Nasi Lemak, Roti Bakar, Kopi Jantan and many more!
Over all, the food was mediocre but I love how aesthetic the place looks like.
Plus, the location is a bit hidden, not on the usual spot of other vendors. It is more secluded and private.
Price wise, less than RM 15 per pax!

Keropok in Kuala Lumpur
Finally got my hands on some keropok lekor in Kuala Lumpur and it brought back all the nostalgic vibes! Crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside — just the way it should be. Dipped in that sweet chili sauce? Chef’s kiss. Simple street food, but it hits all the right spots. KL really knows how to do it right.
