🌿Reset your mind and body at Yanbaru's "Minamimeishu"🌿
Nanmeishinshitsu, tucked away in the forests of Yanbaru, Okinawa, is a true healing hideaway.
In a space surrounded by forest, take a deep breath and meditate. In the silence, listen to the chirping of birds and the sound of the wind, and you will feel the fatigue and frustration of everyday life disappear.
It was a luxurious time to connect with nature and feel in harmony from the inside. It is a special place where you can refresh your mind and body while feeling the power of Yanbaru with your whole body.

I'm Harada, a former hero who has traveled around Japan twice.
A must-see for those who are tired of ordinary trips to the main island of Okinawa!
Yanbaru, the northernmost part of Okinawa, is a wonderful place full of nature where traditional life still remains.
The beauty of the sea, the greatness of the mountains, the warmth of the people,
No matter how many times you go, it's a wonderful area that makes you want to go back again and again.
At night, several izakayas and snack bars will welcome you.
The downside is that it's difficult to get there 😅
Driving along Route 58 in a rental car is a detox in itself 🥰
You can also stop by any place that catches your eye!
If you ask the locals, they might take you to some nice places that aren't touristy 😉
First, go to Kunigami Village and talk to the villagers.
Once you get hooked, you won't be able to get out. A wonderful stay in Yanbaru awaits you ✅
A wonderful world will open up to you in an instant 🌎
Okinawa's Kouri Bridge.
Simply beautiful. At the end of Kouri Bridge, there's a beach where you can swim for free, and everyone was swimming there. It's such a luxury, and I'm envious of the people of Okinawa. I heard that you can see sea turtles from the bridge, so I tried to spot them, but I couldn't because there were jet skis around. The locals said that you can easily see them as they come up for air every few minutes. I hope to see one someday.
[Okinawa] Kunigami Village: A place where you can see the Okinawa rail, a nationally designated natural monument
Located in Yasuda Kuina Fureai Park in Kunigami Village
[Yanbaru Rail Ecological Exhibition and Learning Facility]
In addition to enjoying field tours and park golf at Yasuda Kuina Fureai Park, you can also observe the ecology of the Yanbaru Rail at the Yanbaru Rail Ecological Exhibition and Learning Facility "Rail Forest".
Admission is 700 yen for high school students and above.
When you enter the Rail Forest, there is an information booth where you can learn about the ecology and habitat of the Yanbaru Rail, and an observation booth that recreates the Yanbaru forest where it actually lives.
A single Yanbaru Rail is kept in the observation booth, and you can observe its ecology while listening to staff explanations given at 30-minute intervals between 9:30 and 16:30.
Even if you live in Okinawa, it is rare to see the Yanbaru Rail, which is an endangered species that lives in the Yanbaru region.
The Rail Forest, where you can interact with the rare Yanbaru Rail, is a very precious place.
The explanations by the zookeepers were also very interesting and informative.
By the time I left, I was completely captivated by the Yanbaru Kuina.
There were also original goods for sale that could only be purchased here.
Why not visit the Kuina Forest for a rare experience?

[Okinawa] An extraordinary cafe in the forests of Yanbaru, Higashi Village
A hidden cafe that appears when you go through the Yanbaru forest in Higashi Village in the north of Okinawa
[Cafe Yamagame]
Cafe Yamagame is located in the Yanbaru forest in the north, more than two hours from the center of Okinawa's main island.
The path around the cafe is so narrow that it can be unsettling, but please don't give up and keep going.
The world that spreads out before you is an extraordinary space, like being in a picture book.
I was full of excitement even before entering the store.
And the atmosphere inside the store does not disappoint.
It was a wonderful space where you can feel the warmth of wood.
The menu is simple curry and toast, but they are committed to using no additives.
We had dessert and soy milk lassi.
The mild-tasting dessert was delicious, but the soy milk lassi was shocking!
Personally, it was the best lassi I have ever had.
Cafe Yamagame is a place where you can spend a relaxing time listening to the sounds of nature.
Why not visit the charm of Yanbaru, Okinawa?

[Okinawa] Kunigami Village: A power spot where you can enjoy the nature of Yanbaru!
Located in Kunigami Village, the northernmost point of Okinawa Island, [Yanbaru National Park Daisekirinzan]
Daisekirinzan is the world's northernmost tropical karst topography, formed over a long period of time by erosion of 250 million year old limestone by rainwater and other factors.
It is also designated as a "quasi-national park" by Okinawa Prefecture, and is a spot rich in nature.
The entrance fee is 1200 yen for adults (15 years old and over). There are several trekking courses, so it's best to choose a course according to your time and physical strength.
We walked on the "Churaumi Observatory Course".
We were able to feel the greatness of nature everywhere while breathing in the fresh Yanbaru air, and it was a very enjoyable walk.
It is recommended as it is a course that allows you to see famous spots!
If you have energy left on the way back, be sure to take the "Gajumaru Forest Course".
You can enjoy plenty of negative ions as it is filled with giant banyan trees, one of the largest in Japan, and subtropical trees.

Address: 1241 Ginama, Kunigami Village, Kunigami District, Okinawa Prefecture

[Okinawa] A cozy old-style cafe newly opened in Ogimi
Located in Ogimi Village, northern Okinawa,
[Yanbaru Shioya Bay Magusukuya]
I went to this old-style cafe that opened in January 2024.
The interior is spacious, with everything from table seats to tatami seats.
It was a nostalgic cafe that had the warmth of being at grandma's house.
The menu is also extensive.
What I ordered this time was
"Singapore Chicken Rice"
Tender chicken on top of rice soaked in chicken broth.
Colorful side dishes and warm miso soup.
Just the taste of home! Everything was delicious and it was a very satisfying lunch.
They also serve Okinawa soba and Okinawa miso soup.
This time I visited during lunch time from 11:00,
but the business hours are from 8:00 in the morning.
The morning menu is available until 10:00 in the morning, and the cafe time menu changes from 15:00.
Please visit at a good time.

[Okinawa Prefecture] The northernmost cape on Okinawa's main island is a spot with a spectacular panoramic view!
\\Tourist Spots//
The northernmost cape on Okinawa's main island, Cape Hedo, is a tourist spot where you can enjoy the rough waves of the East China Sea and the Pacific Ocean crashing against the shore and the spectacular view that spreads out before your eyes.
It's the northernmost point, so it's difficult to go there alone, but if you're going sightseeing in the Yanbaru area, be sure to visit it.

[Okinawa Prefecture] A hidden gem of a tourist spot in Yanbaru!
\\Tourist Spots//
It is located in the Cape Hedo area of Kunigami District, the northernmost part of Okinawa, about 2 hours by car from Naha Airport.
While sightseeing at Cape Hedo, I discovered a huge Okinawa rail on top of a mountain and wondered "What is that?", so I investigated and visited the area. It is about a 5-minute drive from Cape Hedo, but the road is narrow and quite thrilling.
There is also a parking lot. The Okinawa rail, which is over 11 meters tall in a deserted place, is very impressive! ! It seems that it was previously prohibited to enter the building due to its aging, but it is now possible to enter. However, the view is limited inside the building, so it seems better to see the spectacular view from outside.
If you go to Cape Hedo, please be sure to visit!
Facility name: 📍Yanbaru Kuina Observatory
Admission fee: 📍Free
Address: 📍Hedou, Kunigami Village, Kunigami District, Okinawa Prefecture
Access: 📍About 5 minutes by car from Cape Hedo
100 minutes by bus from Nago Bus Terminal. Then about 15 minutes on foot

Oriental Hotel Okinawa Resort & Spa
"Play with the island, connect with the forest"
Countless streams flow into the sea after passing through numerous waterfalls. Yanbaru is a miraculous forest woven with deep green forests and azure seas. People live with nature and have carefully cultivated a unique culture deeply connected to the forest. You, who cherish Okinawa, can also share the blessings of Yanbaru. The Oriental Hotel Okinawa Resort & Spa, which will be rebranded and reopened on October 1, 2021, is a place where you can "connect" with Yanbaru. Enjoy a resort stay that engages all five senses, including one of the largest pools in Okinawa, spacious rooms with ocean views of over 44 m2 each, an authentic fishing experience where you can catch large fish at a fishing spot called a payao, and a harvesting experience in the fields.

Okinawa Rail STOP ROADKILL
#Okinawa #Yanbaru #stoproadkill
When driving in northeastern Okinawa,
drive slowly and leisurely.
You might even encounter a wild Okinawa rail.
Be especially careful at night!
[Yanbaru is the best]
Even within Okinawa, the northern region is far superior in terms of nature.
Also called Yanbaru (mountain plain), the beauty of all the beaches is what makes it so appealing.
You can be healed and enriched by nature, and enjoy it without spending a lot of money.
The number of stylish cafes and accommodations is increasing, so I recommend staying in Yanbaru for an extended period of time✨

Okinawa Yanbaru trekking tour
#islandtrip #trekking #100travelstyles #river #yanbaruforest #yanbaru
I was planning to stay in northern Okinawa and relax at the beach and pool, but about three days before, I decided I wanted to do some SUP after all, so I contacted a tour company. As expected, they were full during the Obon period, so they suggested a river trekking tour in Yanbaru. Well, I thought I'd go anyway, and it was even more fun than I expected. The trekking location changes depending on the weather. I highly recommend it to everyone!
Ogimi Village Shikuwasa Park
A spot to stop by on the way to Yanbaru!
When you enter, you'll find a dream faucet!
When you turn it, you can taste the shikwasa juice that comes out.
In January, the shikwasa harvest is over and the factories that process the juice are not operating, but after listening to a video explaining about shikwasa, I was completely hooked on its nutritional value 🥹
I buy it and drink it every day.
IKKO is promoting it 😂
Early-picked (September) shikwasa is green, and although it is not as sweet, it is more nutritious. They sell early-picked shikwasa juice, as well as many other shikwasa souvenirs such as jam and ponzu sauce.
