Cade’s Cove is the most visited area of the Smoky Mountains. Roughly 31 miles away from the city of Pigeon Forge, Cade’s Cove is in the 6,800-acre valley known for its picturesque landscapes. Kanbula National Forest is a great place in Qinghai to see unbelievable mountains, gorges and nature. But to go there by car you need certain driving skills and a good vehicle. We tried to reach the top starting from Kanbula Town on the East side. You can climb up well to the sightseeing platform above the dam for the Yellow River. Enjoy the view and spend some time to charge your batteries for the next hour of driving. The winding road up to the first village of Lade will be challenging since the road is narrow and the street conditions are not good. Drive slowly will give your passengers time to enjoy the stunning view above the dam but the driver should keep the eyes on the road. While climbing up the street condition got unfortunately worse and at the last serpentine we gave up since the road changed into a partial gravel road. Plenty of people made it and will surely enjoy the top of the mountain and the streets after. If you are not skilled, you may try the other road from Guide and you can also reach the top after many winding roads. #drive #qinghai #mountain
