Whenever I look for restaurants to try especially for events, I prefer a unique place with a view. Staying in Singapore, what iconic view is there to see but of Marina Bay Sands. I booked for a reservation at Picotin - Waterboat House due to its amazing view of MBS. The building is in Art Deco style and is previously a fresh water supply house for ships coming to Singapore. The restaurant has an unblocked view of MBS when seated at the right areas. We were first seated indoors at Level 2 even though I booked the Captain’s Deck at the rooftop, as the staff said it’s raining. But it shouldn’t be an issue since the Captain’s Deck is covered. After resolving the miscommunication, we were then transferred at the top. The captain’s deck is the perfect seat for private dining with almost 360-degree view of the MBS skyline. The food is friendly as we are all familiar with European cuisine and wouldn’t break your bank. I recommend getting the Captain’s Deck or the rooftop tables especially during sunset. #londontrip When we were still planning for our London trip, The Shard came out as one of the tourist spots that must be visited. It is the UK's tallest building afterall standing tall at 309.6 meters high. We walked down the river path across it and on the way there and we saw it standing magnificent so we decided to stop and took some photos. We went there to eat at the aqua shard so we had the chance to see London's skyline without going to the observatory deck. Entry Cost: 32 pounds for general cost 42 pounds includes fast track entry and a panoramic booklet. SUGGESTION: Having your meal at one of the restaurants at the shard will cost more however you'd be more relaxed with great food and just as stunning views of London's skyline. There is so much to see and do and we just scratched the surface. We did a lot of walking but also used taxis and metro and took a trolley tour. The list is endless that we fitted in to such a short space of time - tour of US Capitol, Washington Monument (buy tickets ahead of time on the National Park's Website), Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, White House, Ford's Theatre (enjoyed A Christmas Carol in this quaint theatre), Union Station, National Cathedral,and endless Museums. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending this fabulous city for anyone looking for a long weekend or week away - plenty to see, do and just enjoy the whole atmosphere of this capital city. Having never been to Washington D.C. I did not know what to expect. The City is beautiful, with wonderful architecture, museums and great restaurants. We stayed at the Mayflower Renaissance Hotel; centrally located and we could walk to the White House. The hotel was beautiful and the service was great; better than I could have hoped for. Stayed seven nights and still did not see everything. Rode the Metro the whole time were there and it was very simple to figure out. Yick Fat Building is defiantly one of Hong Kong’s most popular spots for photos. The Yick Fat Building, also known as the Monster Building, Oceanic Mansion, Montane Mansion, Yick Fat building, Yick Cheong Building. Hah yeah way too many names 😄 Well The Monster Building is actually a group of five connected buildings located in 2-32 Yau Man St., Quarry Bay, Hong Kong. I guess that is the reason why it looks like this and also why it is referred as a “Concrete Jungle”. Seoul City Hall - A governmental building for the Seoul Metropolitan Government in South Korea. It is located in Taepyeongno, Jung-gu, at the very heart of Seoul. It is connected to City Hall Station (Seoul) on Seoul Subway Line 1, with access to Seoul Subway Line 2 from the same station. The new building stands out architecturally, and the old city hall building is located in front of the new building. Now the old building is Seoul Metropolitan Library, and Seoul Plaza. There is a small museum downstairs I wanted to checkout and I was not disappointed at all. An old lady welcomed me with a big smile on her face in the museum and told me about the history of the city and the old and new city hall buildings. When I asked her how much should I pay she said that it is free as she is a volunteer.
