This was a nice experience. A cute coffee and donut shop in the middle of a quiet residential area. It is a spacious and airy cafe with big glass windows. That got variety of coffee beans to choose from. Ordered hand drip coffee and plain donuts. The coffee was great and the donuts was really delicious light, airy, fluffy and soft. I visited them two times and have tried a number of their donuts. The honey mascarpone donut was not too sweet or overwhelmingly cheesy, and the cold brew hit the spot after a long day out. What a unique experience with all those serious looking people in lab coats making and serving coffee. A large variety of beans for selection and superb presentation. For around 5,000 yen, you can experience a variety of coffees, from drip coffee to lattes and espressos. They also recommend coffees that suit your taste. Reservations are required. The experience takes about 1 to 1.5 hours. It's an interesting place that combines Japanese high-end sushi restaurant culture with coffee. However, the price is quite expensive, and the language barrier made it difficult to get more in-depth explanations, which was a bit disappointing. Most of the baristas are proficient in English, but knowing Japanese would definitely enhance the experience. Coffee will undoubtedly be better than what you have had. It is a really small cafe with few seats. And you are a coffee aficionado then Bongen coffee is a must. With 4 beans available and options on how roasted you want your coffee, it really is worth the wait- be prepared to wait about 30 minutes or more for your coffee. It’s quite expensive as well but you are definitely getting quality. When it opens at 10am, there are already about 30 people queuing. Ordered the Bongen Latte Rich which is using their dark roast beans. It was intense and robust and the smell and taste just come straight at you. This was an interesting experience. Feels a bit like being at the pharmacists with their white coats and scales and brew gear and the three of them working behind the counter. Great service and baristas are taking time to explain the beans to you. They have loads of unique beans to choose from. Very experienced staff who would enquire after your preference and recommend the best ones to you! No worries if you know nothing about coffee as they are super friendly and helpful. The rose lychee cheesecake is so artificial, yam milkshake taste like yam ice cream, sakura matcha latte taste like crushed ice. Only plus point for this is the decoration.
