On our way to Whistler, my cousin and I went to a beautiful wonderland in Squamish by taking the Sea to Sky Gondola. This is my first time taking a gondola in the snow, so it’s pretty exciting. When we arrived, we get to walk the Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge in the snow. When you come to Squamish, British Columbia, Canada, how can you miss the Sea to Sky Gondola trip! 🚡 As soon as I got on the cable car, I was amazed by the view of snow-capped mountains, forests and ocean outside the window. The 10-minute journey seemed to go through the clouds and reach the top of the mountain! 🌊 The air on the top of the mountain is so fresh that you want to take a deep breath, and the sea view of Howe Sound in the distance is so beautiful that it takes your breath away! We walked on the Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge on the top of the mountain, stood on the bridge and overlooked the valley. There was a deep abyss under our feet. It was super thrilling! 🌉 There are many trails on the mountain, suitable for friends who like hiking. We took a simple route and saw pine forests and wild animals along the way! 📸 There is also a small restaurant on the top of the mountain. It is very relaxing to enjoy snacks while looking at the mountain view. Useful tips: • Transportation: It takes about 45 minutes to drive from downtown Vancouver to Squamish along the Sea to Sky Highway. The scenery along the way is super beautiful! • Best time: Set out in the morning when the weather is clear and visibility is highest, allowing you to take the most beautiful photos of the snow-capped mountains. • Clothing suggestions: The temperature on the top of the mountain is low, so remember to bring an outer layer and comfortable hiking shoes. Getting There - located about 45 minutes outside of Vancouver in a car. However everyday there are multiple shuttles from the waterfront in Vancouver directly to squamish. This can be booked through the “squamish connector” very reasonably priced and drops you off right outside the gondola ticket center. Attractions - A short 10 - 15 minute gondola right up and you are greeted with the most spectacular views of squamish and surrounding mountains. There are multiple different trials to suit your needs, whether you want to hike or just stroll around. During the winter time they offer snowshoe tours, and even tubing (snow dependent). Hotels - Sea to Sky Gondola is located about 10 minutes away from downtown squamish which offers a range of different hotels and air b&b. Food & Restaurants - At the top of the Summit once you have rode the gondola or hiked up is a lodge which serves both hot and cold food. 10 minute drive away is downtown squamish which has multiple restaurant and fast food locations. Shopping - Downtown squamish offers a unique range of shops, the majority of which are small businesses all run by locals. The gondola that picks up tourists during the day will switch to pick up performers to the square of the canal, with dancers matching music and lights, and water curtain effects, such a professional and shocking performance, even free! ! For a closer seat, visit the canal-lined restaurants with seafood restaurants and a just-a-drink bar. We arrived around 8:15pm and chose a seafood restaurant for dinner, the seats outside the restaurant all able to see the performance location, slowly ate dinner, and waited for the performance to begin. This dinner was the most expensive meal of the whole trip, but it was only around HKD1000. For the National holidays my friend & I decided to visit the breathtakingly gorgeous city of Macau 🇲🇴 As a tourist everything is made easy for you to move around.
