Nature 📍Baibao River It’s a river where you can go swimming, river tracing, and even snorkeling! 📍Wanrong Hot Springs♨️ Because of the special condition of the natural surroundings, the water shows the unique turquoise color. You can have a hot spring there to soothe your body. 📍Baiyang Trail It’s nice to go there in summer, as you will go through a cave and enjoy the refreshing waterfall. 📍Zhuilu Old Road It is a relatively easy but one of the most beautiful trails among all the mountains in Hualien. 📍Taroko National Park You can see a lot of unique views such as canyons. Because Taiwan is a geographically relative new island, the mountains are pretty high and the rocks are magnificent due to the compression of the Earth. 📍Dali-Datong Trail The place is full of the memories of the indigenous people in Taiwan. When you hike there, you will see a historical chapel there that the missionaries built a long time ago. 📍National Dong Hwa University I always go jogging and do yoga during the sunrise there. Banff National Park is truly the most beautiful place in Canada. I went there in winter time when it is the most beautiful time there and fewer people are. To save money, I lived in Canmore and took a bus to travel around in Banff. Here are some sites that I visited: 🏔️Three Sisters, Canmore🏔️ Even just in Canmore, you can see many beautiful mountains. The Three Sisters are the most famous ones. The people there are very nice and friendly because most locals live in Canmore not Banff, so you get to enjoy the warmth of the locals while living in Canmore surrounded by mountains. 🏔️Banff National Park🏔️ 📍Lake Louise Lake Louise is truly a place that will make you feel like you’re in a painting. The unique turquoise color of the lake is definitely what makes the lake so beautiful. It is beyond the description of words. You have to visit it yourself to experience the wonder. 📍Johnston Canyon At Johnston Canyon, you get to see all kinds of amazing views, including canyon, creek, waterfall, and even cliffs made with ice! Some of the waterfall is even frozen into ice sticks. The total length of the hike is about 2.6km, so you can complete it without too much effort. However, in winter time the road is covered with ice, so it’s quite slippery. Please bring shoes that have spikes when you visit. 📍Tunnel Mountain If you want to hike the easiest mountain in Banff, Tunnel Mountain is a relatively easy one for travellers. Upon arrival, the first thing that strikes you is the expansive lawn, reminiscent of the vibrant green turf at Misari Rowing Park. It's a wonderful space for simply looking up at the clear autumn sky, which truly feels like a canvas painted by nature. The gentle breeze is perfect for flying kites, and it was lovely to see them soaring gracefully. One of the park's highlights is the walking path that connects it to Han River Park, providing beautiful views of the Han River itself. However, it's worth noting that the stairs connecting to Han River Park are closed after 8 PM, so plan your visit accordingly if you intend to use them. If you need to return to Misari Rowing Park after parking, be sure to do so before the access closes. A particularly charming discovery was 'Dangjeongseom' (당정섬). I had been curious about the Dangjeong Pond, and it was a pleasant surprise to find it situated right in front of me. The pond, reflecting the white clouds above, was surprisingly full of lotus leaves. Having visited last year when the pond was newly established and the lotus leaves were sparse, it was truly amazing to see them so lush and abundant this time. #cityplaybook Feeling quite stifled after being stuck at home for several days, I decided to take a much-needed solo trip to Misa lake (Gyeongjeong) Park in Hanam, Gyeonggi Province this afternoon. I was pleasantly surprised by how incredibly spacious the park is. Parking was also quite convenient, with numerous designated areas from P1 all the way to P9. The earlier cherry blossoms have since fallen, and now I could see small green cherries beginning to ripen to a dark red. I learned that double cherry trees typically don't bear fruit as easily as regular cherry trees, and indeed, upon closer inspection, there were no fruits where those magnificent blossoms once were. Currently, the park is adorned with a stunning display of poppies, which brought an automatic smile to my face. However, a small but important note for anyone exploring alone: a park staff member approached me to warn against venturing too deep into the poppy fields because a snake had been spotted there. So, a definite heads-up to be careful of snakes in the poppy flower fields! Overall, Misa Gyeongjeong Park proved to be a wonderful place for a solo retreat. It offers a vast, open space to unwind and enjoy nature's seasonal changes, providing a peaceful escape from the daily grind. These stunning “dragon’s backbone” fields have been carved into the mountainsides for over 650 years by the Zhuang and Yao ethnic minority groups — an ancient feat of engineering and pure beauty. We visited in autumn, when the paddies glow golden – absolutely magical. Took the cable car up (highly recommend unless you’re keen on a serious hike!), and the views from the top were unreal. Towering karst mountains rise up out of misty green rice paddies, the Li River winds gently through quiet villages, and every view looks like an ancient scroll painting come to life. It’s peaceful, it’s cinematic – and I honestly fell in love with it. Orange blossom was in bloom when I visited, filling the air with this light, sweet scent as I cycled along the riverside paths. Locals waved, the sun peeked through the haze, and it just felt like time slowed down.
