I recent visited to the River Garden Cafe in Greenwich was an absolute delight, offering a fantastic mix of classic comfort and exciting new flavors!🌊 The traditional Fish & Chips was an absolute standout – perfectly battered, wonderfully crispy, and not at all greasy, with flaky, tender fish and delicious chunky chips. The accompanying garden peas, curry sauce complemented the dish beautifully.🍟 But the culinary journey didn't stop there! I also had the pleasure of trying their fantastic Korean Fried Chicken Burger. Wow, what a flavor explosion! The chicken was incredibly juicy inside, and coated in that signature sweet and spicy Korean glaze. Paired with fresh toppings and a soft bun, it was a truly satisfying and flavorful burger.🍔 And to round off the meal, we indulged in their homemade onion rings. These were a true highlight – perfectly crispy, golden, and packed with sweet onion flavor, clearly made with care.🧅 The cafe itself has a lovely, inviting atmosphere. Last time I went to Notting Hill, I tried a Greek restaurant called MAZI, and to my surprise, it was really good. 🍞 Bread with olive oil — always a fail-proof choice! 🥄 Smoked Aubergine The aubergine slices were crispy and paired with tahini and honey. It wasn't too heavy in flavor and also went well with the bread! 🥗 Greek Salad I’ve always liked Greek salad — super refreshing. The cherry tomatoes were sweet but not overwhelming, and the crispy bread crumbs added a nice touch. Delicious! 🦐 Tiger Prawn Risotto The prawn was beautifully cut, with plump, bouncy meat. The prawn flavor really infused into the rice, and the addition of lobster bisque made it even more irresistible! 🐙 Grilled Octopus A generous portion! The must visit dessert spot this summer in London @aguamiel.ldn is London’s first dedicated churros cafe. If you like churros, then you definitely need to visit this cafe. Actually, if you like sweet things, then you need to visit this cafe! Here you’ll get freshly made churros fried, cut up and coated right in front of you. Their menu is focused and specific (which we love). The star of the show of course is the churros. The churros gets coated in cinnamon and sugar (you can choose not to if you prefer) and then you can just have as is or choose from a variety of dips. They’ve got chocolate, dulce de leche and condensed milk. They also have authentic Mexican hot drinks like the horchata and the hot chocolate. You can do what Mexicans do, use the hot chocolate as a dip! And that’s not it… they also do something that is bound to capture the attention and eye of many especially in the summer months. And that is the churros sandwich (aka sarita). We didn’t try that on this occasion, but it’s something we’d be tempted to go back for! What did we try? We got the churros along with a condensed milk dip. Churros were fresh and hot. And they tasted like they were fresh and hot too! Slightly crispy and crunchy on the outside and soft and cakey on the inside. Just like a good fresh churro should be. The cinnamon and sugar coating - I loved, but my wife found it to be a bit too sweet. This of course is something you can cater to your liking. The condensed milk dip provided for a creamy accompaniment (much like custard does for a cake) and an extra layer of sweetness. I didn’t try the other dips, but I feel this sounded like the best one and definitely tasted good! Noodle Tour in London London has many great spots, and I’m on a mission to discover some hidden gems you must try. Today, I’m at @kungfunoodleuk in @chinatownlondon , which specialises in dishes from China’s Gansu Province. Their highlight is the Lan Zhou beef noodles, featuring hand-pulled noodles in a rich broth, topped with tender beef slices and a drizzle of chili oil 🍜 I was impressed by the generous portion size, especially for under £14. The noodles were exceptionally long and chewy, while the beef was incredibly tender. Although I found the soup aromatic, I thought it could use more robust flavours! 🤤 The Shanxi oil-spill noodles were a pleasant surprise. The dry noodles allowed me to savour the flavours more distinctly. The beef was soft, tender, and melted in my mouth. I certainly knew that it was going to be good, but I didn’t expect to be so good. The opened a new addition to the family in Victoria and I went to check it out. I must say that I am still very surprised all the dishes are vegan as I wouldn’t have guessed it . The food was delicious, beautiful fresh interior, great vibes and overall just very impressive .
