Went to Halong Bay just before Covid, and it still feels like a dream 🌤️. We took the Silversea Cruise, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. We chose the one-night stay on the cruise, which was just perfect — enough time to enjoy the view right from our room in the morning 🌄, and not feel too rushed. Waking up surrounded by the calm emerald waters, limestone cliffs, and those classic Halong Bay cruise silhouettes in the distance — the view was everything 😍. It’s the kind of scene you want to pause and soak in slowly, with a cup of coffee in hand ☕ and zero rush. The cruise included some fun activities too! We had a Vietnamese cooking class where we learned how to roll fresh spring rolls 🥢, which was a fun and tasty hands-on experience. The cruise also stopped by some beautiful spots — we got to go canoeing 🛶 and visit Titop Island, where the short hike to the top rewarded us with an absolutely amazing panoramic view of Halong Bay 🌅. A lot of the apartments rent in KL have stunning Twin Towers views, but they don’t offer breakfast 🍳. And the hotels that include breakfast + a view? Way too pricey 💸. Hilton Garden Inn checked all the boxes ✅ Twin Towers view 🌇 Tasty breakfast 🥐 And the price? Super affordable! 💵 Price Range (in USD) Prices vary depending on the room and platform, but generally: Room-only: around $31–$34 per night Twin Tower view + breakfast: about $40–$60 per night Honestly, that’s a steal for what you’re getting! 💖 What I Loved ✨ Clean and comfy rooms 🌆 Beautiful Twin Towers view right from the window 🍽️ Good breakfast with enough variety to start the day right 🤏 Minor Downsides 🛍️ It’s about a 15-minute drive to major malls and shopping spots. But I used Grab most of the time (super affordable in KL), so it didn’t really bother me. 🏊♂️ Heads-up About the Pool Only one of the two buildings has a swimming pool, and it’s not the one with the Twin Towers view. So if you're staying in the room with the Twin Towers view and want to swim, you'll have to pop over to the other building. One building with swimming pool focuses more on KL Tower view and the other on Twin Towers—I don’t remember exactly which is which (North or South), so it’s a good idea to ask the hotel before booking if you have a strong preference. 🔁 Would I Stay Again?
