[Power spot] Pray for good fortune at Katori Shrine, where the strongest war god is enshrined.
I went to Katori Shrine, which is famous as the strongest power spot in Chiba Prefecture.✨It was New Year's Eve, so there were many stalls and it was bustling.🥰
⛩What is Katori Shrine⛩-----------------------------Katori Shrine is the head shrine of the Katori Shrines, which have about 400 shrines nationwide! It is said to bring good luck in competitions, warding off evil spirits, and finding a partner.😌It is said to have been founded in the 18th year of Emperor Jimmu's reign, and enshrines the war god Futsunushi-no-Okami, who appears in the Nihon Shoki!
❤️Recommended points❤️-----------------------------☑︎ There is a shopping street on the approach to the shrine, and you can enjoy gourmet food.🍡︎︎︎︎︎︎☑︎ The grounds are spacious, and there are deer too.🦌︎︎︎︎︎︎☑︎ The symbolic vermilion-painted tower gate is an important cultural property︎︎︎︎︎︎︎☑︎ Katori Shrine Okumiya, which enshrines the wild spirit, is a tranquil power spot! Be sure to visit before a competition! ︎︎︎︎︎︎☑︎ The goshuin is handwritten! (You can get the regular goshuin at the main shrine, and the Okumiya goshuin at the Okumiya!)︎︎︎︎︎︎☑︎ There is also a keystone with "Kashima Jingu" written on it!
⚠️Points to be careful of⚠️-----------------------------︎︎︎︎︎︎☑︎ The path to the shrine has some uneven footing in places, so it is best to avoid wearing heels that you don't want to hurt yourself with, or shoes that you don't want to get dirty! ︎︎︎︎︎︎☑︎ It's far from the station, so be careful if you're going by public transport

[Katori Shrine, Chiba Prefecture] A shrine governed by the god of war
Katori Shrine is the Ichinomiya (first shrine) of Shimousa Province.
It is the head shrine of the Katori Shrines, of which there are around 400 throughout the country, and has a history of around 2600 years.
The enshrined deity is Futsunushi no Okami,
who appears in the myth of the transfer of the country in the Nihon Shoki.
He traveled to Izumo together with Takemikazuchi no Okami, the enshrined deity of Kashima Shrine, to negotiate.
He has been worshipped as a war god, as Okuninushi no Okami submitted to him due to the military might of the two gods.
The jet-black shrine building has a dignified appearance and style that matches that!
I personally really like the appearance of this shrine building.

Katori Shrine
Location⬇
1697 Katori, Katori City, Chiba Prefecture, 287-0017
This shrine is surrounded by nature and stands in a quiet place.
When I went, the irises were blooming beautifully, and apparently there was an iris festival being held in a nearby place called Sawara, so I saw an interesting way of decorating it, irises arranged in a boat-shaped pot for that event😆
The garden is very large and just the right size for a stroll😊
The shrine also has several types of fortune-telling slips, and this time I tried drawing one with a charm attached, and got a golden frog charm!
The charms for these fortune-telling slips also come in about 14 different types, and they all have cute designs, so I'd like to collect them all😳
Katori Shrine has a lot to see, so please come and see them😄

Katori Shrine in Katori City, Chiba Prefecture
Katori Shrine is the Ichinomiya of Shimousa Province (northern Chiba Prefecture) and the head shrine of the Katori Shrines, which number about 400 nationwide. Together with Kashima Shrine and Ikisu Shrine in Ibaraki Prefecture, it is known as one of the "Three Eastern Shrines."
It enshrines Futsunushi no Okami, the god of martial arts, who also appears in the Nihon Shoki, and is said to bring good luck in winning, traffic, and disaster prevention.
In recent years, it has also been attracting attention as one of the "Kanto region's leading power spots," and is a popular shrine that attracts many people from far away to worship.
The approach to the shrine in front of the shrine is famous for its "kusa dango" (grass dumplings), which are sold in large quantities!
It's very delicious, so please try it♩

[Sawara, Chiba] A trip to enjoy the charming townscape and local gourmet food
Enjoy the famous shaved ice while strolling through the streets of Sawara, known as Little Edo. The sudachi shaved ice is a perfect summer dish, combining the moderate sweetness of wasanbon with the sourness of sudami 🍧✨
After visiting the historic Katori Shrine, take a leisurely walk along the river and enjoy the picturesque scenery. This is a relaxing spot where you can relax and enjoy the cloudless blue sky and the slowly flowing river.

Katori Shrine in Katori City
Katori Shrine is located in Katori, Katori City, Chiba Prefecture. The land is quite large and you can also enjoy the Japanese garden! The stately building gives off a sense of dignity. The best season to see it is of course autumn, when you can enjoy the autumn leaves, so it's a spot you should definitely visit at least once! 😊By the way, I can't remember whether it was at 4pm or 5pm when the sun sets, but the priest comes out and you can see some interesting things 😳#KatoriShrine#ChibaTourism#ChibaTrip
