The most romantic secret seaside town in Sicily|Sant Elia
: : : : : : : : : : : : : : :
Noto, Sicily, Italy
#Overseas Travel
The classic Baroque town of Noto is located in the southeast of Sicily.
In 1693 a very severe Sicilian earthquake nearly leveled this medieval town. In the decades after the earthquake, the town was rebuilt in typical Sicilian Baroque style. The exteriors of the buildings are exquisite and gorgeous, full of classical style. It was later listed as a World Cultural Heritage Site.
Many buildings are constructed using sandy yellow tuff, which gives the town a honey-gold hue when the sun shines on it.
Piazza Municipio, the Cathedral of Noto and the Ducezio Palace are the highlights of this place.

Church built on a cliff
#Overseas Travel
The light yellow facade looks like an ordinary church, but it is actually not ordinary at all! If you look closely, you will find that the church is nestled on the stone cliffs of the nearby mountains. This unique building is known as one of the most fascinating religious buildings in Italy.
Built around 1625, it contains a church and a monastery that extends 25 meters into the caves. When you walk in, you will find a solemn temple hidden in the dark cave.
From Palermo in Sicily you can take a bus to Monte Pellegrino.

Sicily: Indulge in a natural mud bath
#Overseas Travel
A few minutes' walk from the pier will take you to the island's mud pools (Fanghi di Vulcano). The mud pool has not been overly artificially modified, retaining its original feel and creating a 100% natural environment. You need to buy a ticket to enter the pool to soak, and you can also enjoy simple shower facilities.
The mud pool is actually not very big. Fortunately, in May, there were not too many tourists, and the weather was mild and not too hot. Even soaking in the slightly warm mud felt very comfortable. Volcanic mud is rich in minerals and has beauty benefits, as well as therapeutic effects on arthritis.
Visitors who come to enjoy the hot spring mud bath will scoop up the volcanic mud at the bottom of the pool and apply it all over their bodies for a thorough body treatment! It’s a rare opportunity to go to the mud pool under the volcano. In addition to trying to cover every inch of my body with mud, I also wanted to have a facial treatment.
As I gently applied a little on my face, the local Italians present kept reminding me not to get it into my eyes because the ingredients in the volcanic mud are still very active and too irritating to the eyes. If you look carefully, you can see tiny bubbles constantly rising from the bottom of the pool, which proves that it is natural. There are also some volcanic mud skin care products on site. If you like them, you can buy them and take them home.
Search for special gifts from Volcano Island
If you have some time before boarding the ship, it would be best to quickly visit the souvenir shops near the pier. The most special souvenirs from the volcanic island are the mineral stones from the volcanic area. The bright yellow one is the most classic sulfur Zolfo in the volcanic area. My favorite is the black iron ore Ematit. This stone is very dazzling and sparkles in the sun.

Famous resort in Sicily
#外游
I have traveled almost full circle around Sicily, Italy, and Taormina is one of my favorite places during the entire trip.
Taormina (Chinese translation: Taormina, also called Taormina) is located on the northeast coast of Sicily. It is a coastal mountain town in the Messina Province, facing the Ionian Sea (Ionian Sea), about 55 km from Catania. kilometer.
Taormina is a famous resort with many high-end hotels along the coast. It is a seaside mountain town, with azure coastline and stunning scenery, you will never forget Taormina.
🔶Piazza IX Aprile Plaza on April 9th🔶
Pass by Corso Umberto, the busiest street in Taormina, and arrive at Piazza IX Aprile, the most famous square in the city center. This is also a good place for viewing, and the endless sea view makes people feel comfortable physically and mentally.
There is a small church in the square, Chiesa di San Giuseppe, which is full of Baroque style.
🔶Villa comunale Municipal Garden🔶
The garden is not too big, but there are many tropical plants planted in the garden, and the view is quite special. If you want to enjoy some peace and quiet, it’s not a bad idea to sit down and take a walk in Villa Comunale.

TAORMINA Ancient Greek Theater in Sicily
#外游
The ancient Greek theater Teatro Greco in Taormina, Sicily, is Taormina's most famous historical site and the focus of visiting Taormina.
This outdoor amphitheater built in the third century BC allows you to enjoy the blue coastline from the auditorium. When the weather is good, you can also see the magnificent Etna volcano in the distance.
On the day of my visit, I was lucky enough to meet a traveler who walked up to the audience and sang impromptu, his powerful singing voice harmonizing with the sound of the wind. This unexpected little performance added splendor to everyone's journey. The singing passenger finally won everyone's applause and cheers.
When different people visit the same place, they will encounter different people and things, which become unique journey memories. This is also the wonderful thing about travel!

The annual flower festival in the ancient city of Noto, Sicily
#Overseas Travel
These beautiful carpets, all with patterns made of flower petals, cover the entire street! So beautiful! Every year on a weekend in May, when flowers are in full bloom, the Baroque ancient city of Noto in Sicily holds a large flower festival "Infiorata di Noto". In addition to this spectacular street flower painting, there are also various markets, parades, and performances, making the entire ancient city lively!
The long flower painting has more than ten patterns, designed by different artists. It covers the entire street and uses colorful petals to create a gorgeous painting.

Climb up to the crater to enjoy the view from above
#High-altitude viewing #Overseas travel
We boarded a large ferry in Milazzo, a small coastal town in Sicily, and headed for the small island of Vulcano. After nearly two hours of boat ride, we arrived before we knew it! The name of the island is Vulcano, which means volcano (very similar to Volcano [English]). 💗On this small island with an area of only 20 square kilometers, there are already 4 small volcanoes. The tallest one is a dormant volcano, Vulcano della Fossa, which is about 390 meters high.
Vulcano della Fossa is not too high, and you can see the top of the mountain from the entrance. It takes about an hour and a half to walk to the point where you can see the crater. The mountain road is covered with soft black volcanic ash, and it feels like walking on the beach. The scenery along the way is beautiful, and if you climb a little higher, you can enjoy the blue coastline.
The entire trail is very wide and just a little sloping, so even if you don't have much hiking experience, you can still complete it smoothly. The whole hill is covered with yellow flowers. The bright yellow flowers, charcoal black sand, and azure sea create a very sharp color contrast and are extremely beautiful.
Finally reached the crater!!! It is also the highest point on the island. The first time I looked down at the bottomless funnel-shaped crater from the top of the volcano, I was so surprised! Looking closely, I saw white smoke constantly coming out of the crater, which was very spectacular. The smell of sulfur is very strong. In addition to gray and black gravel, there are volcanic rocks of different colors around. 👍🏼Tourists can also continue walking and walk around the entire crater. However, the path will pass through places where steam is coming out. Be careful not to stop, because the gas is very hot and your ankles will be burned if you stop.

Trapani, a small seaside town in western Sicily
#UnbeatableSeaView #OverseasTravel
Trapani is a small seaside town in western Sicily. The city center is not too big and can be walked around in half a day.
I took a walk along the beach in the morning and the scenery was nice. The sea water is very clear. In early summer, Sicilians have already started staying at the seaside to enjoy the sunny summer.
Many tourists stay in Trapani and then take a day trip to the mountain town of Erice, go to Marsala for wine tasting, walk around and take photos in the salt pan nature reserve, or take a boat to the famous nearby archipelago Isole Egadi.

Modica, the ancient Baroque city in Sicily
#High-altitude viewing #Overseas travel
The Baroque ancient city of Modica in Sicily is listed as a World Cultural Heritage along with Noto. The best way to visit Modica is to climb up one flight of stairs after another, and look out over the rows of ancient houses built against the mountain. The stone tones retain a sense of simplicity here.
There are a total of 254 steps leading to the Baroque-style church Duomo di San Giorgio. In front of the church is the best viewing platform for the entire town.
The houses retain the light tones of stone, giving the town a more primitive and simple feel. There are many Baroque churches in the ancient city, which are also worth visiting.

Located in the northwest of Palermo, this is a classic and famous attraction.
Near La Favorita Park.
This villa has been the main and important residence of the noble Valguarnera family. The origins of the building date back to the 16th century, but the villa adopted its current appearance in the late 18th century. In fact, at that time the Valguarnera family renovated the existing structure, giving it a more Baroque look and enriching it with paintings, frescoes and other works of art.
In recent years, it has become a leisure destination for local residents.
