We were on our way to visit the Yutoku Inari Shrine and had to find a place for a quick lunch - ended up finding this food gem nearby by chance! There were many people there (mostly locals) but the queue was constantly moving! To add, this place serves the best udon and seafood sashimi bowl we ever had by far! They are also super generous in their portions - if you order the Seafood Bukkake Don, you'll get soooo much sashimi that you'll have a taste of some sashimi in every single bite. So good that it's definitely worth a return visit. The only downside is that you might need to have a car, we drove there and it seems pretty secluded (or maybe because we went on a Monday and everything else seems to be closed.) You will be spoilt for choice here. They have cakes, gelato, soft servce, ice blended drinks, hot drinks, ice drinks, floats, waffles, pancakes! The menu is very extensive! We got yuzu ice blended and croffle parfait today. The yuzu ice blended is supr big. And super refreshing. It is sweet but the yuzu critus balances it well. Even comes with red bean paste and shiramata. My first time eating the croffle and i like it! Tastes like croissant but looks like waffle and much easier to eat. Whitegrass Restaurant Address - CHIJMES Highlights - excellent service and good Rating - 5/5 Came here for our anniversary lunch. Got an executive set and a creation set. Our favourite were the amuse bouche, entree and dessert! Their bread was also good! Crispy on the outside and really soft on the inside. We were beyond full at the end and very satisfied. The service staff were very attentive and at the top of their game. The restaurant itself is beautiful! The chef also came out to personally thank all the diners at the end. We were the first to arrive and the staff helpfully reminded us to go take our food before the crowd appears. The selections were plenty! Food that i will definitely take again: laksa, seafood noodle, kueh pie tee, seafood, winter melon soup, satay! True enough, about half an hour later, more customers start to stream in and the food area became very crowded. Guess they could have made that area bigger so it is more accessible when it gets crowded. Service was good. Staff were very attentive. And had the restaurant to ourselves for a good 20mins! The indoor seats were very comfortable. There are bar counter seats with open kitchen for anybody who wants to see the cooking process. Staff were friendly and gave good recommendations. But we came prepared and already knew what we wanted. Ordered 3 dishes for 2 to share and portion was just nice. Chargrilled cabbage was our favourite. Who can guess cabbage can be so fancy and taste great! Acaraje, which is a Brazilian street food, is something new to me. The black pea buns sandwiched prawns, dried shrimps, nuts and coconut milk. We also got the famous chargrilled octopus. Halcyon & Crane Address - Paragon Shopping Centre 03-09 I ordered a mocha and smoke salmon bagel. Slightly on the pricey side but i enjoyed both, especially the bagel. It comes with smoked salmon, sichuan avocado guacamole and cream cheese yoghurt spread. The sichuan guacamole really added numbing kick and elevated the whole dish. Service was good. Place was indoor and airconditioned. There are sofa seats available so the whole place is really comfortable. Will definitely return! #foodie #musteat

Kenny Rogers Roaster @ Sengkang Grand Mall Address - #01-60 Avg. Price per Person - 15++ Rating - 4.5/5 My in-laws recommended this place. There are a few outlets in Singapore. This is located at Sengkang Grand which is right next to buangkok mrt. We arrived slightly before 12nn on a sunday and there were many empty seats. By the time we were done eating, the place is almost filled. I ordered fish and chips and my husband got chicken chop. Both were great! Staff was so generous with the portions that i couldnt finish my chips. The fish was crispy and batter was thin. Check out the thick piece of fish! Service was good too! Greenhouse at Dusit Thani Laguna Highlights - Gardens by the bay feel Rating - 4.5/5 If you book a stay at Dusit Thani Laguna, do add on breakfast because it is really worth it. The buffet selection is extensive and taste is above average. Especially like the dim sum, cheese selections, salad and noodle stations. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Nomiya Izakaya and sake bar Address - 11 Trengganu Street Highlights - HSBC entertainer! Avg. Price per Person - 15++ Rating - 4/5 Came here for lunch with my husband. Really like the ambience. Perfect for dates as they serve many different types of beverages especially alcholic ones. I ordered mentaiko salmon don and my husband got the gyudon. You can see they serve a side dish that looks like a nugget but taste like soy/potato fried and is actually quite nice! I really like my mentaiko don too. Portion is just nice. Service was good. Collins's PLQ Address - PLQ mall #B1-01 Highlights - affordable and fantastic food Avg. Price per Person - 15++ Rating - 5/5 My second time here. My husband ordered fish and chips and i ordered chicken chop. We really like the fish and chip. The batter is crispy and not thick. You can really taste and chew the fish in it. They also added something sour to the mayo and it complemented the fish and chips perfectly. My chicken chop was great too. Tender and juicy. Just not as impressive as the fish and chips. Service was great. Staff were attentive. Serving speed was about 10mins for the chicken chop and probably 15mins for the fish. Would definitely come back soon! We ordered the gyu-kaku premium set for 2, which comes with wagyu cross karubi, australian wagyu thick tongue, gyu-kaku karubi, kurobata belly, beef of the day with shio garlic, cabbage, seaweed soup, kimchi, rice. The beef melted in our mouth. It was soooo good. Paired that with japanese rice or cabbage. Would have gone for their buffet if not for my hubby being on a diet and not wanting to tempt himself with all the meat. Charcoal fire was used for the BBQ. Service was fast and staff are friendly. It is really pretty! The plants are all real too. I can picture a cozy wedding being held here. Ordered 2 pasta and wildberry cooler. Price is on the expensive side but the pasta portion was huge! If you arent big eaters, i believe you can order 1 main + 1 appetiser. Our prawn aglio olio has a hint of chinese and we love the excessive use of garlic and prawn. There was just enough 'wok hey' and was the better of our 2 pasta today. Chicken rossa penne was a much bigger portion on a tomato cream base. It wasnt jialat at all! The wildberry cooler was a hit. Price per Person - 40++ Rating - 5/5 If you like oysters, please visit The Oyster Bank during their happy shucking hour, which is monday to friday 5-8pm and all day on weekends. For every alcoholic drink that you order, you can order up to half dozen naked oysters at $2 each. Their oysters are the best that i have tried in SG. Best thing is it is only at $2 each! My husband and I also ordered a don each. Their dons are on the smaller side so definitely not satisfying for small eaters. My salmon don and his beef don tasted great though! Timbre is a well-known brand in Singapore that owns dining establishments with spaces for performances. What’s really good about Sentosa Cove and the restaurants there is that the ambience is simply amazing. We ate at Sabio By The Bay, which serves tapas and grilled dishes. It was great because we could enjoy the ever-present cool breeze and watch the yachts sail in and out of the harbour. That’s an awesome view you don’t get everyday!
